Hello! My name is Jessica, and I live on Coronado Island in sunny San Diego, California. I can only imagine your stress in deciding the best way to provide for your child and your difficult decisions ahead. I want you to know that I am here to support you in any way I can, whether it be a listening ear, prayers, or just sitting down to get to know each other. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and for considering adoption for your child. I promise that if you choose to provide me the honor of being your child’s adoptive parent, they will be raised in a loving home surrounded by friends and family.
Dear Birth Mother...
A Little About Me
I am an extroverted, energetic person and try to find joy in every situation. I have always wanted to be a mom, and I know that it is the right time to expand my family through adoption. Every day is a new adventure, and I never know what kind of fun I will have that day, from going to a coffee shop with a friend, visiting the zoo or Sea World, going to the dog park, yoga classes, puppy play dates, dinner, or trivia—so many things to experience. I want to live life to the fullest. I meet many people walking around Coronado because it is a friendly town, and my neighbors are always willing to help when needed.
I grew up attending church and have a strong faith in God. My favorite part of church is the music because it touches my soul, and I love to sing. I frequently make up random songs for my friends and family, although I would not make the finals on American Idol! Here is an example: “Good morning to you, I love you, I do, good morning, good morning, good morning to you.” Doesn’t that just brighten someone's day?

My Home and Community
I live in a three-bedroom house in a family-oriented, safe, beach-front city. My community is small and tight-knit with year-round events, including holiday parades, “Ride the Lights,” weekly concerts on the bay, and my favorite, Concert in the Park. The school is only two blocks from my home, and the community offers opportunities for children to play, socialize, participate in sports, be creative, and, most importantly, be loved. I am a part of a weekly community group where we have dinner and Bible study, and they are excited to add another member.
Meet Leo
I rescued Leo when he was eight weeks old, and he is now a 7-month-old bundle of joy. He is so funny and has a great personality. He loves people, children, and all dogs (just like his Momma)! Leo has brought me joy, and I can’t wait for him to be a big brother. He is energetic and keeps me on my toes on our frequent walks, bike rides, and trips to see family and friends. I try to schedule playdates for him a few times a week so he can get out some energy. Leo will make a great companion to your child.
Meet My Family
I am very close with my family and spend a lot of time with them. I talk to my parents daily and my sisters several times a week. I have 4 siblings (all girls), 3 nephews, 2 nieces, and one great-nephew. We get together for the holidays, family vacations, and frequent trips to each other’s homes. When we get together, we like to play games (our favorite game is Phase 10), work on puzzles, watch movies, and eat lots of food (flank steak, lumpia, meatloaf, and homemade French onion soup)! Some of my cousins live close to me, and we get together every few weeks to have dinner, go to plays and musicals, or play pickleball.
Messages From My Sisters
“Jessica is one of the most upbeat, optimistic, and caring people I know. She is always there for everyone, has a natural gift for relating to children, and never condescends to them. She is a natural caregiver, represented by her chosen field of work as a nurse, has an active lifestyle, and has traveled the world. Jessica has always wanted to be a mom, and I know she would be a gift to any child’s life. As for me, I can’t wait to be an auntie and have a new addition to our family.” - Melissa
“Jessica was a big contributor taking care of our baby sister, and we called her the little Momma. She is patient, loving, thoughtful, and organized, makes great personal and professional decisions, and is always prepared for whatever comes her way. She will be an excellent mother and provider to any child and is mentally and financially ready to provide a stable and loving home. She has a strong support system of friends and family.” - Angela
Meet My Friends
I have a large support system of friends; some live a few blocks away and are here to support my future child and I. My friends would say I love to laugh, care for others, and am compassionate, giving, and inclusive of others. I spend a lot of time with friends, and we get together for dinners, game nights, movie nights, and holiday festivities. Most of my friends have children who call me “Aunt Jess.” My friends are very excited and supportive of my adoption plan.
Messages From My Friends
“I consider Jessica one of my best friends. She is a kind and caring person who goes above and beyond for other people. One of the things I appreciate the most is that she welcomes new people with open arms. When we were on deployment, she ensured that everyone enjoyed the holidays even though they were away from home. She made the holidays special for everyone… that’s just the kind of person she is! I consider myself fortunate to have met her.” - Cristina
“Jessica truly has a heart of gold and cares deeply for those around her. She is a wonderful Auntie to our adoptive son, so loving, playful and nurturing. You can always count on her to lend a helping hand. We are super excited for Jessica to become a mother and cannot wait to welcome her child to our crew.” - Ashleigh
“I consider Jessica one of my closest friends. She has been there for me on many occasions, and now she is there for my son too. He loves to play with her, and she teaches him many things. The whole time I have known her, she has been a giving, loving person to everyone. Many of our friends have kids, and she is amazing with them. She teaches me things about parenting my son. If anyone is made to be a mom, it is her; she is truly a mom to her core.” - Amanda
Doing What I Love
I have a passion for dogs, and everyone in my family who has dogs got them from a rescue. I volunteer at the local animal shelter and will help clean, do laundry, walk dogs, and foster dogs. I can’t walk by a dog without saying hi and giving them some love. I always stay busy and like to try new things. I recently started crafting with resin and have made all sorts of stuff like tumblers, pens, and name badges, and I have even dabbled with resin on wood pieces. I have a craft room full of supplies for new projects. Baking cupcakes is another way I spend time; I love sharing them with friends and family.
One of My Favorite Things to Do is Travel to Different Places
I find it interesting to learn about other cultures and appreciate how many places utilize natural resources, like using bamboo to make rafts in Jamaica, exploring South Africa, and sleeping in Krueger National Park while elephants and other animals were right outside the fence. I can’t wait to visit different parts of the world and learn about their way of life.
Family Traditions
My favorite tradition is at Christmas when we all go to Christmas Eve service and then go back home to open our “surprise” matching Christmas pajamas! Once everyone has changed, we gather around, and my dad reads “The Night Before Christmas” before we go to sleep. I am always so excited when I go to bed and wake up before everyone else. I love all the Christmas lights because they make me so happy.
Easter is special because we color Easter eggs, attend church, and have a big family dinner. Birthdays are always celebrated with friends and family with cake and family dinner. I do my best to make sure everyone feels special on their birthday because it is important to celebrate life. Family traditions are important to me, and I can’t wait to share them with my future child.
My Career
I am a critical care nurse in the Navy and have a passion for helping others through difficult times. I am attending school for my Advanced Practice Nursing degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The Navy has provided remarkable benefits, stability, healthcare, college funds for my future child, and travel. I have lived in Japan for the Navy and will continue to have the opportunity to live all over the world. I am looking forward to sharing these experiences with my future child.

Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I have always wanted to be a mom, and knowing that adoption is my path to motherhood gives me great honor and pride. That’s what adoption is to me - an honor. If you choose me to love and parent your child, I will provide them opportunities to learn and grow into a kind and loving person. As you continue your journey, I hope you feel loved and supported in any decision. Thank you for taking a glimpse at who I am and the wonderful life I can provide for your child, and know that I will be praying for you throughout this process.
