Dear Birth Mother,
Thank you so much for considering us as adoptive parents. We have so much respect for the tremendous sacrifice you have made to bring a child into this world. Your bravery inspires us to think that we may some day be able to complete our family through adoption.
We hope our profile gives you a small glimpse into our life of hope and love. We know you are looking for a wonderful home and future for your child and we are looking to share our love and lives with an amazing baby. Perhaps we are looking for each other?
About Our Faith
We were both raised in the Catholic Church, and would like to include our future child in the Christian faith. However, we think it is important to have a great understanding of other faiths, and ultimately we would let our child decide the role of faith in his or her life.
The Crowded Bus (Our Story):
Told by Mike…..Michelle took a seat on a crowded bus in San Francisco next to me one evening on the commute home. Before she could get up to leave, I had talked her ear off and asked for her phone number. Everyone around us was listening (or so it felt like), so thank goodness she said yes. A few days later, we found ourselves at a 5 hour dinner, quickly followed up by trail runs, long walks around the city, visiting parks with my dog, baseball games, and frozen yogurt fly bys at all times of the day.
Mike’s sisters helped to set up a beach proposal complete with onlookers and the question written in the sand! We were married in 2013 in Memorial Church at Stanford University in the best day of our lives (so far). Though we found out that Michelle cannot have children, we are so excited to complete our family through the miracle of adoption.
Our Travels & Top 5 Destinations:
We can’t get enough of traveling. Every month leads to a new discussion about what will be the next destination, adventure or trip. We are addicted to the adrenaline rush of immersing ourselves in different cultures, trying new things, exploring new territories, tasting new food and meeting new people. We can’t wait to bring our new baby with us, and give them real life experiences. We strongly believe in learning by doing and what better way to learn about the World than to meet its people and to see it with your own eyes.
About Mike (by Michelle):
Mike is by far the most energetic, positive and enthusiastic person I have ever met. His genuine kindness and caring for others makes him the kind of person everyone wants to be around, and I am so lucky he chose me to be his partner. Mike is always the first person to say, “yes” to the next adventure, and is constantly exploring everything life has to offer. He is always understanding even during the hardest times, and is the first person friends call to talk through difficult situations. His enthusiasm for life is shown in his pursuits outside of work – his hobbies including running, hiking, cycling and coaching little league, and his enthusiasm for continuing education (just graduated from UCLA with his MBA in 2015). He will teach our future child to always see the best in everyone, to always have a positive outlook on the future, to frame up problems with potential solutions, and that life is truly beautiful.
Mike currently works in the virtual and augmented reality field at Google, where he receives very generous paternity leave and a flexible schedule that will allow him to take off substantial time to raise our future child.

About Michelle (By Mike):
To me, the best part about Michelle is how she lights up a room when she enters. Not only because she is stunning, but because of her smile. It glows and it’s infectious. You can’t help but want to be around her, and you can’t help but find yourself smiling along with her. Michelle grew up in the Bay Area and worked hard to graduate from high school and receive admission into her dream college of Stanford University. Education was one of the pillars of her life, and she is still very passionate about the importance of education in a child’s life. Michelle continued her education by graduating from Wharton (UPenn) with an MBA in 2011. She is structured, thought provoking, and a problem solver.
She now runs a chain of fitness studios in the San Francisco, a perfect fit for both of us as we prioritize eating right and exercising in our lives. Michelle loves to cook and bake, so we are always trying new recipes for healthy dinners and not-so-healthy desserts! Michelle’s company is family-run and owned by a mother of two children who is supportive and excited for our expanding family.

Welcome To Our Home:
We own a home in beautiful Marin County, California. Marin is known for its close proximity to San Francisco, its warm climate, it’s thousands of hiking and biking trails, and it’s natural sandy beaches. Every weekend we are outside enjoying nature with our dogs in our county’s backyard, hiking through the redwood forests, or trekking to local destinations such as Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz, or Berkeley.
While our house has four bedrooms as we were hoping for a large family, God’s plan didn’t intend that to happen, so we are excited to share our warm home and active community a new baby.
When we are home (and not outside), we love grilling, hanging out with friends, having family over, or checking out what’s new on Netflix.
Our Pets Love Kids!
Mike and Michelle are both animal lovers. Michelle wanted to be a veterinarian throughout her childhood, and she now volunteers at the local animal shelter weekly! We have two small dogs named Berkeley and Charlie. Before Mike met Michelle, he rescued Berkeley at 6 weeks old, and she still brings us so much joy and happiness. While Michelle was volunteering at the animal shelter in 2015, she brought home a surprise for Mike in the form of Charlie. Both dogs love children and frequently play with our two godchildren.
If Our Pet’s Could Talk:
I grew up as the older sister to two brothers in a home with my mother and father. I feel so lucky to have a family that always supported me and helped me become the woman I am. My mother is truly my greatest inspiration and is my best friend. I talk to her daily and can’t imagine my life without her. My dad is most certainly the “rock” of our family, and has always been there for me. My brothers are still two of my best friends, and I am so fortunate to spend time with them whenever I can. My mom, dad and one of my brothers also live in the Bay Area, and are so excited about helping us with our growing family. I hope to raise our future child in a home just like mine – full of love, support and laughter.
I grew up in a loud family as the third of 7 kids, 2 of which were adopted. Every second of my childhood contained excitement, including swimming at the beach, pool parties, family dinners, and, most importantly, love and respect. Now we are sprinkled all over the country, but when I see any of them it’s like not a day has past. My dad and mom (who is also adopted) are both supportive of our adoption journey and can’t wait to have a new grandchild.

Thank you for taking the time and getting to know us. Michelle and I cannot wait to start our newest adventure by adding to our family with a beautiful baby. We know how hard this journey must be for you, and we cannot thank you enough for giving us the opportunity of a lifetime.
