Choose a Family

Scott and Jason

We appreciate you taking the time to read our story and thank you for considering us as an adoptive family.   We hope this letter will help you get to know us a little better and help you decide what is best for you and your child. We admire your courage and strength for considering adoption, and we think you are a very special person for making this decision. We are available to answer any questions you may have about who we are as you consider us as potential parents.

We met and fell in love in 2009 in California and were married in New Jersey in 2014 in front of our closest friends and family. During our very first date, we discussed our mutual desire to build a family and raise children together. We want you to know that if you place your child with us, he or she will have two loving and committed fathers, an awesome big brother for life, and grow up in a home filled with joy, laughter, adventure and discovery.

Jason is the kindest, most thoughtful and considerate man I have ever known. From the moment we met, I knew there was something special about him and after our first date he had my heart forever. He likes to spend his free time with family, reading, watching movies, exercising, cooking, playing with our dog and keeping his friends and family laughing. He inspires me everyday to be the best man that I can be and, at the same time, loves me and accepts me exactly as I am. My greatest joy has been seeing him be the devoted, loving, adventurous and nurturing father he is to Victor. I don’t know a better man than Jason and there is no one else in the world I would want as a husband, friend and co-parent in life.

The first time I saw Scott, I knew we’d be together forever.  He was different than anyone I had ever met.  And from that moment on, I was a better person.  He makes me a better man every day…simply by being himself.  He has the best personality… people want to know him and be around him because he’s funny, he smiles and he makes people feel at ease.  He’s the kind of guy who looks you in the eye and makes you feel like everything is going to be ok. He makes you smile from ear-to-ear when he says hello.  Scott has never met an enemy and has friends all over the US who are dear to him. I feel so lucky to have met him and have him part of my life, and have learned what love is all about from him.  He is the most present father and person I know – he’s always in the moment and there for Victor and he is simply an awesome dad.

Victor has been a sweet and gentle giant from the moment he was born (10 lbs. 3 oz!) in June 2014. He has the healthiest of appetites and an intense adoration for vehicles of all kinds, especially fire trucks, trains, diggers and police cars. It’s been the greatest joy watching Victor grow and learn new things. Everyday there is a new discovery, and seeing life through his eyes has kept us inspired and awake. We know in our hearts that Victor will be a kind, nurturing and enthusiastic big brother!

After five wonderful exciting years together in California, we made the move to New Jersey in 2015, to start a new chapter in our lives and be closer to our family (all on the east coast). From the moment we started dating, we’ve made building a family our top priority, creating a committed life together full of things we love: weekend adventures together; hiking and yoga; TV and movie nights at home with pizza (meatball, onion, garlic!) and ice cream; and backyard BBQs with our extended family and friends. We settled in a vibrant and diverse family-oriented community, very close to numerous parks and charming towns…and a quick train ride into New York City. We always have the best time when we’re together and always keep each other smiling and laughing. Our relationship is rooted in honesty, trust, support and unconditional love.  All of these virtues, we will share with your child.

We believe in…

  • Nurturing authenticity and supporting hopes and dreams
  • Encouraging adventures and taking risks
  • Making mistakes and learning from them
  • Being kind and compassionate, and being there for each other in good times and bad
  • Laughing a lot and loving unconditionally
  • Always being open and honest with each other
  • Standing up for what is right and never compromising one’s integrity
  • Having family dinners, celebrating traditions and starting new ones

Thank you,

Jason, Scott & Victor
