Hello I am Sophia from France, living in Los Angeles California.
I want you to know how thankful and grateful I am for you taking the time to read about me. Thank you for considering adoption. I admire your courage and strength because the decision you are about to make will influence a new life. I am ready to become a mother and promise to always maintain a happy, warm and loving home. I hope to be able to get to know you and share more with you.
With great respect,
For as long as I can remember I always said to myself, “One day, I hope to adopt a baby!” And now I am following my dream. I have a very large and loving family- I am always surrounded by children! I have a younger sister who was adopted, two wonderful nieces and many cousins. I cannot wait to introduce my warm family to my child.
I was brought up in a Italian family in France, where getting together as a
family with aunts, uncles and cousins, organizing large lunches and games that lasted all day, were happening on a weekly basis. This is where I get my strong family values and integrity. Those moments are great memories to me, and I cannot wait to become a mom and to create such a happy childhood for my child. I am a happy spirit who loves to connect with people, nature and tries to spend as much time as possible outside, in parks, beaches, mountains, and lucky me in California there is also the desert!
I have spent so much time looking after my nieces since they were babies; they call me their second “cool mom.” They have grown into young women, and we have a fantastic relationship. As for my little sister, I took care of her every single day from the day she was born until she turned six. Children usually let me enter their world because they sense I respect and care deeply for them. For all those reasons I feel and know it is my time for me to bring and raise my own baby and to share with him or her the beauty of life.
I love nature, this is the place where I like to spend most of my time. In summer I love to walk on the beach, make castles in the sand, and play games in water. In spring I go to parks and the forest to watch birds and make flower bouquets. In autumn I enjoy picking leaves and watching the beauty of nature change color, and to walk on leaves as they make that heavy crispy sound. In winter I love the snow and I love to ski.
I also enjoy the arts, especially photography. I like to take my nieces and sister to museums. Travel is something I will always do, as it is a great passion. With my family, every summer, we go to different countries around Europe – Italy, Portugal, Spain, South of France. I have also travelled to Japan, Australia, Vietnam and many more. I cannot wait to share all those beautiful experiences with my little one and to see the world through his or her eyes.
I am a real estate developer; I feel very lucky to be able to work in the family
business for the past 16 years. Today I work out of my house; I manage and take an overview on the properties that we have built. Being in the family business gives me the flexibility to organize my own schedule. This will allow me the opportunity to take some time off from work to bond and care for my child.
My mother lives in France with my little sister, and now that I am in the US we see each other for two months during Christmas and summer. My other sister and my two nieces live in Los Angeles where we see each other every week and Sundays are our family time for meals and games. I also have wonderful great friends for the past 17 years, they are an extension of my family, for that I am so grateful. They all are waiting for me to extend our family with my own child.
I live in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, where my sister has being living for the
past 18 years with her two daughters. I can walk everywhere in this neighborhood as it is very safe. I have spent many times in Griffith Park with my nieces; since it is a short walk away from my house we go there to ride the beautiful carousel, go horseback riding and enjoy the great train rides.
I am honored that you would consider me as an adoptive parent for your child.
I understand the complexity of this situation and you must have so many questions for me. I really want to ensure you that your child will know that the decision for his or her adoption was made out of love and was not an easy one. I wish nothing but the best for you on this journey.
With loving support,
