International Adoption

surrogacy guidelines

International adoption is a popular choice among adoptive parents who wish to provide a loving home to an orphaned infant or toddler from outside the United States. Families must meet Immigration and Naturalization Service and placing country requirements.

In international adoption, there are children of all ages. The ages of the children available depend upon several factors, including the country chosen. Since so many orphaned children around the world are waiting to become a part of a family and community, there are children who are infants, toddlers and school-aged children. Sibling groups and children with medical needs are also available.

Parenting through adoption can be the most rewarding experience you’ll ever have! It can also seem daunting, especially when you are adopting internationally and are subject to another country’s often-changing timelines, procedures, regulations and policies.

This site is intended to provide general information and a brief description of various country programs. International programs are available cooperatively with your local agency, or, if you are not currently working with a local agency, we can recommend an agency to you.
