Robin and Steve
Dear Birthmother,
Thank
you for taking the time to read
about us. We know
that you want the best for your
child and know that you are making one of the most selfless
decisions a mother can make. We recognize the
importance of your decision and appreciate
your courage and strength.
Who We
Are:
We are Robin and Steve. We met through a mutual
friend while taking a history class. Although
we were living on the east coast at the time, we soon moved. We
are happily married and as our relationship continues
to grow, we find it the perfect
time to begin our family.
Robin:
Robin has always loved children. She began babysitting
when she was eleven, and later became head counselor at sleep
away
camps. She now works daily as a substitute teacher,
but as soon as we are blessed
with a baby, she will be a stay-at-home mom. Robin
also enjoys physical fitness and earned a college degree
in physical education. She also enjoys
the outdoors and keeps fit by
biking, running, playing tennis and has completed marathons,
triathlons, and biathlons. She
looks forward to running behind
a baby stroller! Robin also
loves to read and is excited
to start reading from her collection of baby books which
has been built
for the nieces and nephews.
Steve:
In his free time Steve enjoys
competitive sailing, photography,
and working with is hands. He
is very handy and can design
and build things from wood. (IS
HE GOING TO MAKE THE CRIB?)
He also loves to cook (eggplant parmesan and basil pesto
with linguine are some of his favorites) and he
is an expert backgammon player. Steve has
a business and law degree, and is currently building
a law practice.
Home:
Our home is in an excellent
neighborhood. The area
is safe and is in a gated
community filled with families and lots of children. It
is one of the most beautifully landscaped communities
with tropical foliage and flowers everywhere. The
beach is less than a mile
away. The best schools and beautiful
parks are also nearby. We grow our own tomatoes
and are learning to grow orchids. We are active
members in our house worship, which we regularly attend.
Family:
We both grew up in very warm,
loving homes, where we
learned tenderness, affection
and respect. We
remain very close with
both of our families. Robin’s
mother, sister and brother
and their families live within minutes of us. Steve’s
parents live in New York, sister and brother-in-law live
in Boston, and he has family all over
the east coast and west,
which make for some fun vacations.
They are so excited
to have a new baby in the family
to love and spoil. Robin’s
mom is looking forward
to her seventh grandchild! We
love to spend time with
our nieces Lauren (7) Daniella
(5), and our nephews Zacky (3) and Eddie (8 months). We
enjoy taking them to the movies,
swimming and helping them with
homework and teaching them new things. When
Lauren was having difficulty counting, Steve
was able to teach her in ten minutes.
What
we would offer your child:
We are ready to be parents
and look forward to
opening our home to a new little
one. We
know we would make excellent parents
for many reasons: we would give hugs and kisses constantly and
tell your child how much we
love him or her and how lucky we are;
we are committed to values that include respect for self, others
and God; we both know the
importance of a good education; we
have loving parents, aunts and uncles just waiting for the newest
addition; and we have traveled
extensively and look forward to sharing
the world with our child.

We
