Mindy and Charlie

Dear Birthmother,

Thank you so much for considering adoption and choosing to learn more about us. We admire and respect you for the decision that you are making. By reading this letter, we hope you get a glimpse of our world, the life we can offer, and the love we can provide a child.

About Us
On a very special day seventeen years ago, we met and felt an instant connection. Our wedding ten years ago was when we made our commitment to each other and to our future children. We have built a strong and loving relationship, which revolves around respect and kindness for each other. We have a happy life and spend a lot of time going camping, house boating and wakeboarding with family and friends.

Our love for children has given us a strong desire to complete our family and give our 2 year old son Collin a sister. We look forward to spending time doing the things that will help nurture a child by sharing in simple pleasures like reading books, playing hide-and-go seek, watching Disney movies, and going to the park. It is a joy for us to watch Collin and his cousins as they learn and share in special moments, such as when they take their first step, eat their first bite of birthday cake, and to hear them laugh when playing peek-a-boo.

About Mindy
Mindy is a very special person to me. She is outgoing, yet sensitive, patient, and understanding. Mindy works for a company that is contracted by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services as a Production Control Clerk. Her hobbies include wakeboarding, soccer, bicycling and riding horses. She also takes great pride in teaching kids these activities. It will be incredible to experience the joy when she teaches our own children to ride a bicycle in our neighborhood. I know she is anxious to see the wonder in our children's faces when we go to Mindy’s favorite places: the Zoo, Disneyland, and Sea World. I can see Mindy as a mom spending time with our children reading books, teaching about animals, and helping with homework. She values family life above all else, and knows what it takes to make a family and home special.

About Charlie
Charlie is a gentle, supportive, “Goofy” guy and has a wonderful heart. His hobbies include tinkering with HO scale model trains and repairing computers. He works as a Supervisor for an Import company. He is a favorite among children and tends to connect with them very well. Charlie especially loves giving them piggyback rides and playing children's games. I can’t wait to see Charlie playing with our child and telling him and her “I love you” each day as he does to me. Our children will not only feel love from Charlie, but will hear those special words each day.

Our Home
We have made our home in Laguna Niguel, California, which is a quiet, safe, and family-oriented community. It is located 45 minutes south of Disneyland, one hour north of San Diego and ten minutes from Dana Point Harbor and Laguna Beach. One of our favorite afternoon pastimes is going to the beach to fly kites, build sand castles, and roast hot dogs and marshmallows with our nieces and nephews. Another special time of the year is at Christmas when our neighbors celebrate this joyous season together by hosting a party for the neighborhood children, which includes caroling and a visit from Santa Claus.

Our Families
We are very fortunate to both come from very stable and supportive families. Mindy’s parents and sister live just few blocks away. Our families are very caring and compassionate. Mindy’s mom provides day care for our niece and nephew and will help us out as well. Our child will enjoy riding bikes, going camping and playing on the beach with his or her cousins. Our celebrations throughout the year include family gatherings for both Christmas and Hanukkah. We have three nieces and two nephews that are anxiously waiting the addition of their new cousin.

Our Favorite Things

• We both love animals, especially horses. We also have three dogs and a cockatiel named Lemon.
• Camping several times a year with family and friends.
• Going Whale watching.
• Visiting National parks and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
• Going to Disney Theme Parks.
• Exploring new places.
• Going house boating.
• Playing Uno and other games with our nieces & nephews.
