About Us

We are Larry and DeAnn, and we have been married for over 16 years. At the time of our engagement, we learned that we would never be able to have children. Despite this news, we thought a miracle would happen in our behalf. Well, 10 years later a miracle did happen, but it did not come as we expected. We were blessed with the opportunity to adopt an 18-month old boy that was as cute as ever! He had been in foster care since he was 2 months old, and he literally found us, as we were not looking to adopt at the time. Seven months later, we were approached to see if we would like to adopt his biological brother. We were thrilled, and thus started our beautiful family!

Having our sons has changed our hearts and we can’t imagine our lives without our two boys! As we raise our children we feel such a strong feeling that there are more children to be added to our family. We would love to have more!

About Larry

Larry is a kind, gentle man. He grew up the youngest child in a family of four. He has two brothers, and one sister. He is very close to his family and although they live in a different state, we visit quite frequently. The boys love their grandma and grandpa and can’t wait to visit. Larry graduated from college with a Bachelor’s of Science; works in the business field and loves his job. He provides very well for our family, which makes it possible for DeAnn to stay home with the children.
Larry loves music, plays the guitar, likes playing around with the computer, loves to research his family history and genealogy, he dresses up as some crazy character every birthday and most of all he loves wrestling with our two energetic sons!

About DeAnn

DeAnn is “Miss Organization.” Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, DeAnn was the Vice President of a motivational/time management seminar company. She traveled extensively helping others learn how to be more organized, set goals, and achieve the goals they want in life.
She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business, and eventually wants to get a Master’s in Counseling or Psychology.
She is very involved in the local politics of our home town and state, and volunteers at a local homeless shelter in our community. Before we adopted, we had many youth stay in our home to help them get back on their feet and learn the important things in life. DeAnn is great with teenagers and volunteers as a camp counselor every summer for our church’s girl’s camp. She grew up in a family of five girls, so having the boys is quite a new experience for her!

Our Family

As a family we love to travel, especially to Disneyland! We also love going to our cabin, camping, and going to the beach and Sea World. Our two boys really want a large family and ask all the time when we are going to get a new brother or sister. We love watching movies together, laying under the stars on our trampoline, swimming, and EATING! We love new foods and new places to explore.
We are devout Christians and attend church each week. We believe service to others is very important and spend a lot of time helping our neighbors and friends.
We have a very large extended family, full of cousins, aunts and uncles. DeAnn’s family lives close-by and we get together with them at least once a week. Our son’s cousins are their best friends! We have many fun family traditions centered around the holidays which make it especially fun for our family. We have spent a lot of time remodeling our backyard to make it a children’s haven with a fort, sand box, swing set and trampoline! Since most of the neighbor kids are at our home, we think we have succeeded. It is important to us that we have strong ties to family, friends, and neighbors; good relationships are important to us!

Our Dream

Our dream is to have a large family full of love and joy. We believe every child is entitled to a mother and father that love each other and their children.
