Dear Birthmother,
Hi! We are Joe and Rae, we live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California, just outside Yosemite National Park. We just want you to know that you are an exceptional woman for what you are doing and pray for your strength as you go through this process. You are showing your love for your child by providing an adoption plan to give them life to the fullest, your love is courageous and unselfish, one we can only hope to understand and will always appreciate. We realize that you are making an important life decision for you and your baby and that you will always be a heaven sent angel by providing a couple like us our dream of having a larger family.
We have known each other for over 16 years, and in October we celebrated our 14th Wedding Anniversary. We both attended college and joined the Military, serving our country proudly for a combined 30 yrs in the Marine Corps. Rae was able to retire from the military shortly after we were blessed with the birth of our daughter Samantha. Our hearts desire has been to add to our family for sometime now. After struggling for many years with infertility, we medically are unable to have anymore children. We believe that through adoption our dream of having a large family will happen. We believe that kids need hugs, kisses, guidance and laughs everyday, enjoying life and all the wonderful experiences it has to offer! They need the opportunity to discover their individual interests, talents and abilities and to pursue their dreams and passions in life. We will introduce our children to music, arts, travel and nature, exploring this wonderful world and all God has created. We are preparing for their future with well planned finances and investments to be able to send them to college. We will teach them to live productive and honest lives, guiding them to be well rounded in their experiences and encouraging diversity and balance in their lives.

About Rae, by Joe
Rae is a wonderful, sensitive, caring and loving woman who has been a great example of what defines a mother. She has spent her time in the career world, and has happily retired so she can enjoy the full time and rewarding job of being a stay at home mom! Rae has always been a blessing in our lives as a wife, mother, boo-boo kisser and encourager, providing a nurturing and loving environment, she keeps our home a sweet sanctuary from the busy pace of life. She enjoys the beach and the tranquility of the ocean, being in the sweet warm sun with her toes in the sand, baking cookies, working in the yard planting flowers, taking pictures and spending time with her family. She has a great trust in God and knows that he is in control, and that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind on. She is a great moral compass and has endless amounts of compassion, understanding and patience, always ready to help and encourage others to do their best.
God has blessed us with one wonderful treasure to start our family with, our daughter Samantha Lynn. She enjoys dancing (ballet, jazz and tap), reading, going to school, and playing music on the piano. She is 6 years old and ready to encourage, nurture and grow up with brothers and sisters and all the fun and excitement they bring. She wants to hear what is happening in detail with our adoption journey, and often daydreams of the exciting days of having a precious baby in our home, while she rocks and softly sings I'll love you forever songs to our new baby. In Samantha's prayers nightly she asks God, "To bless our family with a little brother or sister to grow, play and share her life with." We all share this same prayer.
We are an active family who loves the outdoors and are blessed to live in a small but vibrant and Beautiful mountain community, it is a wonderful place to live, to raise our family and be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our home is located in an exclusive neighborhood away from traffic, yet close to town, in a comfortable setting where people take time to wave and to stop and talk. We have many families in our neighborhood and enjoy spending time with them, having Barbeques or just visiting and letting the kids play. In our area we enjoy outdoor fun all year round, sledding, skiing and making snowmen at home in the winter and camping, swimming, fishing, motocross, and hiking in the summer. We just built our sunny new home with lots of space for children indoors and out. We have beautiful mountain views, great sunrises and sweet peaceful sunsets each night.
The blessing of Adoption is an awesome gift, Rae was adopted by her parents, as well as both her brothers, all growing up to be very caring, loving and terrific adults. Joe has 3 sisters and 1 brother and with our immediate and extended families, we have over 100, cousins, nieces, nephews and aunts and uncles. We both come from families who have been married for many years, (Joe's grandparents have been married for 73 years). We get together often, celebrating the special occasions and Holidays. We are blessed to have a wonderful close circle of friends and family who are a part of our daily lives, and are very supportive and excited about our adoption plans.
We are completely committed to providing a loving, caring, safe and stable home where a child can grow and know they are loved forever unconditionally. We pray for you to have peace and God's guidance as you decide the right family for you and your child.
