We can not begin to imagine your journey in deciding to place your child for adoption. Our only hope is that our path to create our family will soon be joined with yours. We are Leslie & Stacey. We’ve been together six years & have dreamed of raising a family together. Although it was not meant to be for us to raise a biological child, we adopted our daughter, Amelia, through AdoptHelp, and are very excited at the prospect that you might choose us to adopt your very special child!

About Us....
Stacey’s hobbies include working in the yard, playing golf, swimming, walking, watching movies and anything “technical.” She is also a die-hard UCLA fan. Leslie enjoys sailing, running marathons, sewing, scrapbooking and entertaining. Education has also been a priority in our lives. We both have Masters degrees and enjoy expanding our knowledge. Five years ago, on a perfect August night, we gathered four generations of our family and friends together to celebrate our commitment ceremony on a harbor cruise at sunset. The evening recognized our commitment and love for one another as well as included plenty of dancing, great food and fun by all!
Our road to becoming parents began with extensive fertility treatments. During this journey, Leslie was able to get pregnant and gave birth to our daughter, Jamie. Unfortunately, she passed away the day after she was born due to unforeseen complications. This loss made our desire to be parents even stronger. Two years ago our dreams were fulfilled when a wonderful mother allowed us to adopt her child, Amelia. Amelia has been our pride and joy! It is difficult to recall what our lives were ever like without her. Since then, we have felt like every day has been a gift. It is now our desire to give Amelia a sibling; someone she can grow up with and experience life with.
We are very dedicated to children and both work in jobs serving and protecting children and families from abuse and neglect. Although it is often disheartening to hear some of the stories, it is always so rewarding to help a family work together and get back on track. We both work alternating days and have flexibility with our hours, so that one of us is with Amelia a majority of the week. As we did with Amelia, we plan to take off time from work upon adopting, so that we can fully devote ourselves to the care of our new baby and the transition of our family from three to four.
When we bought our four bedroom home, we were so excited that there were two adjoining kids’ rooms with a painted mural including trees, flowers, birds and butterflies. All of our friends with kids, as well as our nieces and nephews, love coming to play at Aunt Stacey & Aunt Leslie’s house! We have toys and games and take them on wilderness walks in the yard looking for secret creatures hidden among the plants. Across the street from our house is a big park with a lake.

Our family consists of our daughter, Amelia, our dog, Bruin, two kitties, Katy & Chelsie, and a fish named Blue Fish. In the backyard we have a small pond with some fish and a waterfall. We love taking Amelia and Bruin for walks in the neighborhood and to feed the ducks at the park. We both really value family. Together we have eleven nieces and nephews and it seems like we are always preparing for birthday parties or making arrangements to be together for holidays and special events. Leslie is part of a seventh generation family born and raised in San Diego, so family tradition runs strongly through her blood. We also have lots of extended family that live within 30 minutes of us. This closeness allows us to have weekly lunches and dinners with family. The rest of the family that doesn’t live as close gives us a great excuse to travel!
Every Sunday morning we get together with our neighbors at the elementary school around the corner from our house for “unofficial” dog park. The dogs run and play while the owners sit around and get caught up chatting and watching the kids play on the swings. This has become quite a social event that has evolved into annual progressive Christmas parties and summer pool parties (without the dogs, of course). It has been so fun to watch Amelia and the kids interact and grow up together.
We live in Southern California and never seem to have a problem finding fun things to do and new places to explore. We also love to travel, usually either with family or to visit family. In the last few years, we’ve been to various places on the East Coast, Hawaii, Mexico, Greece, New Zealand, Italy and Catalina Island.

Stacey grew up in the South and wanted to continue her family tradition of hosting an annual Kentucky Derby Party every May. The first year, friends and family weren’t too familiar with horse racing, but it has been fun to see the event evolve into a competition for best Southern food, fanciest hats, etc. When friends get their new calendars in January, they call to find out if we’re going to have our party again this year; they don’t want to miss it!
Everyday we talk about how blessed we are to have so much love and support from family and friends. Our lives feel full in so many ways. We’d love the opportunity to bring another child into our home to complete our family. We hope that something about us has sparked an interest in you to get to know more about us. We would love to hear from you!
