Hi, we are Karen and Wayne. Our life journey together started on our first date on October 20, 1995. We quickly became best friends and fell in love. For the past nine years of our marriage, we dreamed of having a child, and we were blessed to adopt our daughter Lauren in April of 2005. We now wish to continue to build our family with another child. We can’t imagine how difficult this decision is for you right now. We truly admire your strength to consider placing your child for adoption. We hope that you will allow us to be a part of your life and to give your baby the love we have saved for the child we cannot have on our own.

About Karen
Karen is a Clinical Psychologist who has her own private practice and is active in the local medical community and hospital. She helps those with depression, anxiety, complicated health conditions, brain disorders, parenting and child behavioral problems. Karen’s hobbies include tennis, taking walks in the park with Lauren, family outings on the weekends, loving her animals, knitting, playing piano and keeping in touch with her best girl friends.

About Wayne
Wayne is a Marriage and Family Therapist also in private practice, working with individuals, families and teens. He had a specialization in helping people recover from addictions. When he is not working, Wayne loves to spend time playing with Lauren. He also likes to jog, hike local trails and garden.

About Lauren
Lauren Elizabeth was born on April 13, 2005. Our beautiful daughter is fun loving, intent but cautious and very curious about her world. Reading books are her favorite past time, followed by playing with her stuffed animals. She also enjoys Gymboree and going to the library with Mommy, pool time with Daddy and taking walks in the park with her dog Sego.

Our Home
We live in a beautiful and very safe community called Yorba Linda, California; nestled in the hills of eastern Orange County and only minutes from the beach and local mountains. Because of where we live, we will be able to send our children to a distinguished blue ribbon local school. Our home is spacious and offers a large front and back yard. We have a pool and spa (with safety gates), and a great view of the local hills. We love to share our home by entertaining friends and family with BBQ and games. We also have two family pets, Sego and Keiki.
Our Families
Karen is the youngest of four sisters. Her parents and two of her sisters (along with their families) live within 15 minutes of us. One sister lives in Chicago, but we see each other once per year. There are seven nieces and nephews on her side of the family. Karen’s family is very close and supportive of one another and talks to each other almost every day.
Wayne’s father lives in Sacramento, his older sister lives in Temecula and younger sister in Costa Mesa. He has a twenty-one year old nephew who lives down the street and loves to hang out with his Uncle Wayne and Aunt Karen (can you believe that?) His 11-year-old niece lives in Temecula and so we don’t get to see her as often as we would like L. We remain close by keeping in touch with phone calls and making family birthdays and seasonal gatherings. Wayne’s family is also thrilled about the possibility of having another child to lavish with tons of love.
Our Family Activities
On most weekends we enjoy getting out either going to the park, zoo, bike riding or taking a new adventure. We also love to travel. Since Lauren entered our lives, we have visited Scottsdale, Arizona, and Ixtapa, Mexico. Our next trip will hopefully include skiing. We also enjoy spending time with our extended family. We can’t wait to share these opportunities when we can welcome another child to our family.
Aspirations For Our Children
We have had wonderful childhoods with enriched environments that we would like to pass forward. With the independence of our private practice and ability to make our own hours, family life will always be our number one priority. We also have strong bonds and relationships with our extended families. Our children will be raised with strong family values and ample time with their grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In addition to the close relationship with our families, we also place a strong value on education. We want to fulfill our children’s dreams and goals, whatever they endeavor upon. We will ensure that our children receive the best education available. As such, we are financially preparing for their education. We hope you will consider us if you believe your baby would be a good match with our family.
