Karen

Dear Birthmother:

I want you to know that I think you have tremendous strength and courage to make this decision and I am most thankful that you are considering me as a potential adoptive parent. I will provide a loving home and an environment filled with opportunities for growth and learning.

I, Karen, am a sales manager for a global transportation company. I have been with the same company for over 16 years. I have 2 small dogs which are my "four legged" children and while they fill my home with love, I can't wait to complete my family with a child.

Several years ago, I spent the majority of 2 years being artificially inseminated in attempts to get pregnant and have a child. During that time, I did conceive but was unable to maintain the pregnancy. Based on my family history with difficulties conceiving and my own experience; adoption seemed only natural. You see, my mom and dad also made several unsuccessful attempts to have a biological child and turned to adoption. Only later did I come along. I am so glad they chose adoption, because I have been blessed with a wonderful older sister.

I own a 2 story brick front home in a small, quiet neighborhood. The house is one of 75 in the neighborhood and is approximately 2400 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room and an unfinished attic that I am considering converting into a recreation room
at some point.

There is a large screened-in porch off the back deck and a fenced in yard that the puppies love. Many of my neighbors have children and I am close friends with several couples which are very supportive of my decision to adopt and have promised to baby sit when needed, give advice or just be there for support.

It is said that location is everything. I am lucky to be within walking distance of a grocery store, a pharmacy, banks and several restaurants. The elementary school is only minutes away. There are also two public parks within 5 miles of the house that have walking trails, tennis courts, playgrounds, and facilities that offer children's programs throughout the year.

I am anxious to open my hearts and home to a child that needs a stable and loving environment. I am emotionally and financially prepared to provide a safe and nurturing home. My child will be loved, respected, and educated. He or she will also have grandparents that are very excited to love a child and spoil him or her with all the love that grandparents can give.

It is my hope that I can begin this journey as soon as possible. Thank you for considering me and may God bless you.
