Dear Birthmother,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We can’t put into words how grateful we are that you are considering us as the parents for your child. We don’t even want to pretend that we have any idea just what you are going through, but we absolutely promise your child will be surrounded by love, joy and happiness.

All About Us
We met on a blind date seven years ago. We can’t explain it but we both knew this was it for us. We were engaged on our sixth month anniversary and we were married one year later. We both knew we wanted children. We started trying to get pregnant soon after the wedding. Unfortunately, we later learned that pregnancy did not come easily for Karen. After struggling for nearly five years, we decided the best way for us to become parents was through adoption. It doesn’t matter to us how we become parents just that we have a child of our own to love and cherish.

We look forward to raising a very independent child. We hope to instill our love of adventure and travel. We’ve visited many places both before and after we met. We’ve especially loved seeing the Caribbean, Mexico and the Northwest since being together.

Our child will be taught to have self-respect as well as respect for others. We will teach him or her kindness and empathy. We hope to ensure our child has common sense balanced with a sense of fun.

Karen
Karen has dreamed of motherhood since she was a little girl. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she always answered, “A mom”. She is warm & welcoming, patient and kind. Even though she grew up as an only child, she was always around cousins and lots of friends. She loves to entertain for friends and family. She loves playing the roll of hostess. She spends her spare time crocheting, reading, going for walks or working out, baking, shopping or visiting with family & friends. Karen is an accountant who enjoys her job, but she looks forward to the day when she is a stay-at-home mom.
Terence
Terence is one of the most kind and gentle men you will ever meet. He loves his nieces & nephews so much that he will go out of his way just to see them and spend time with them. He looks forward to the day when he has a son or daughter to call his own. After spending many years operating a chain of restaurants, he now works with his brother in a family run business. He really enjoys working at his brother’s side. This allows him flexibility to be available for “kid stuff” whenever necessary. Terence enjoys spending time at the beach and exploring new places during his travels. In addition to his love for travel, he follows his hometown professional sports teams and enjoys attending games with Karen and friends and family.
Family & Friends
Our child will have such large extended family to love and nurture him or her. We are blessed to live close to many of Terence’s relatives here in Southern California. Friday night family dinners are a regular occurrence. We have nieces and nephews who can’t wait to play with another little cousin. Karen’s mom can’t wait to be a grandma and even though she lives in Northern California, she visits often. Karen’s dad will also make regular visits. “Grandpa Ivan" (Terence's dad) is retired lives in North Carolina and visits every few months.
We love to spend time with family and friends whenever possible. We have developed some great friendships since moving to Southern California. At the same time we continue our long-term, long distance friendships with our friends in Northern California with an “open door” policy. Our friends love to come down for visits and we often make trips up to Northern California to see family and friends as well.
Once again, we would like to thank you for considering us. We hope that you feel right about your extremely difficult decision. If you decide to place your child with us, he or she will know how much you loved him or her and how grateful we will always be to you for the kindness you have in your heart. We hope the rest of your pregnancy is as smooth and easy as possible.
