Dear Birth Mother,

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share with you a little bit about us.  We cannot imagine the difficult decision you are faced with today but please let us tell you the amount of respect we have for you for placing your baby for adoption.  We hope that this letter will give you a look into our lives and what we have to offer.  Please know that if you chose us as the adoptive parents to your child, your child will be surrounded by unconditional love not only from us but from our family and friends too.  After attempting to have a family on our own, we were led to adoption.  Katherine and I met in June of 1993 and have been happily married for 8 years.  One of our hearts greatest desires is to have a family.

About Katherine:

I had a wonderful childhood and was raised in a small city just outside Los Angeles.  My parents have been married for 37 years and I have 1 sister who is a few years younger than I am. Our home was filled with lots of laughter and love.  As a family we spent many summers camping across the States and weekends camping at the beach.  I am blessed to be so close to each of them not only in distance but in spirit as well. 

Currently I work for a large medical center in the community setting as a Research Coordinator for Clinical Trials in Oncology.  This has been a deep and rewarding career.  Anthony and I look forward to having the opportunity for me to work either part-time or being a stay-at-home Mom.  Some of my interests are running with our dog, Duke, scrapbooking, going to plays, traveling, decorating our home, reading and having family and friends over for dinner.  Our home is filled with much love and laughter.  Anthony and I are involved in our church and Sunday school class as well as other ministries.  Spending time with our niece and nephew or our several ‘adopted’ nieces and nephews is one of our greatest joys.  Whether it is playing with them at the park, camping with them at the beach or taking them for ice cream is always an adventure.

About Anthony:

I was born and raised in Southern California.  I am the oldest child and have one younger brother.  I had a great childhood filled with many wonderful memories.  My parents have been married for 34 years.  I am fortunate that both of my parents-parents are alive and very active.  My great-grandmother is 97 and I have been blessed to have her be such an important and integral part of my adult life.  I have a very large extended family as well and most of them live within a short distance from Katherine and me.  As a child I enjoyed fishing with my Dad and brother.  My Dad was my baseball coach and both my parents always came and supported my games during high school. 

Both Katherine and I enjoy traveling.  Whether it is camping at the beach or fishing in Mammoth (Katherine reads), or taking a trip to Maui we both love to come home.  Many of our weekends you will find us having family and friends over for a bbq or taking our puppy, Duke, to the park to play.

Katherine and I have been through a lot in the years past.  I had a motorcycle accident shortly after I turned 19.  The accident left me paralyzed from the chest down.  Katherine and I dated for just 6 months.  We over came many trials and tribulations early on in our relationship.  My accident has taught me to appreciate life to the fullest each day.  I enjoy many of the same activities today that I did before my accident such as water skiing, off roading, scuba diving, fishing, traveling and most of all spending time with my family and friends.  It is nearly 14 years later and we are ready for the next chapter in our life to begin. 

I am Vice President of our medical supply company. My partners and I started this company in 1999.  Our medical supply company was started to help others like myself and my partners to learn to work again and to move forward with their lives.   I also acquired my Real Estate License a few years ago.  This gives me a great opportunity to meet new people.  I feel very blessed to have 2 great industries to be apart of.  I love my life and feel very fortunate to set my own work schedule which will benefit our future son or daughter. 

Our Home and Community:

We live in a great community in sunny California just outside of Los Angeles.  We live in a wonderful neighborhood in a comfortable home with a great back yard and a park at the end of our cul-de-sac.  Our home is within bike riding distance of many of our friends and family.  We have made several incredible friendships with our neighbors.  It is not uncommon for our neighbors and friends to spontaneously stop by and visit while their children play on our cul-de-sac.  It is a true joy to watch the kids play together.

We also enjoy spending time with our families as we are able to see them regularly.  Katherine and I are very active and enjoy traveling.  We look forward to spending days of family fun to include camping, fishing, spending time at the beach, bike riding and many other activities.  It has become a tradition to spend a week in Mammoth, California with my family and going to the beach with Katherine’s family outside of Santa Barbara.  We look forward to each of these vacations as they bring many moments of joy and laughter.  We have had beautiful vacations in Maui and the Bahamas.  When we are not traveling or away for weekend adventures, you will find us at home spending time in our yard, having friends over for dinner and making smores over the fireplace in our backyard.

Katherine and I have been blessed to have a nice home, financial security, and much love and laughter.  We feel that the greatest gift that one person can give to another is a child.  Your child will be raised in very loving Christian home. Please know that if you chose us as the adoptive parents of your child you will always hold a very special place in our hearts.  Thank you again for taking the time to read our profile.  We hope this letter and our pictures will give an idea of the joy that fills our home and our hearts.
