Dear Birth Mother,
It is impossible for us to imagine what you must be going through in making this strong and courageous choice for your child. We cannot thank you enough for considering us and for taking the time to read our profile.
We are Pat and Ron and it is not easy to express how much your decision of adoption means to us. We love our two boys, Joey (10) and Lukas (5), with all of our hearts but we have always envisioned them having a little sister. When we found out that Pat was not able to have another child, we knew adoption was the perfect answer to our dream of adding a little girl to our family.

About Us & Our Family
We have been together for 20 years and have been married for 17. We are truly best friends and always try to make sure we go on several “dates” per month to stay connected. We met during college when Pat was working at a men’s clothing store and Ron came in to buy a jacket. We were instant friends, but it took Ron a whole year of coming in the store and buying clothes from Pat to finally get the courage up to ask her out! We still have the jacket that Ron purchased on the day we met. Pat loved that Ron was such a good listener, and that he made her believe that she could make all of her dreams come true because she was so special.
About Ron
Ron is 6’3” with brown hair and blue eyes. He grew up in a small town in Ohio and went to Ohio State University, where he received a degree in Finance along with a Computer Science degree from Muskingum Technical College. Ron loves to be very active with the boys. Sports are a family affair because he enjoys coaching soccer, teeball and basketball. The boys love having him as their coach. Ron also enjoys working on the computer and organizing the family videos and pictures. The best part about being a father to Ron is the chance to be a kid again and to see and experience things from the perspective of Joey and Lukas.

Ron’s parents continue to live in a small town in Eastern Ohio, not very far from where we live, so visits are very frequent. Ron has many friends and family who are important parts of our “extended” family. They provide many opportunities for sharing, support, laughs and happy moments. Ron has always enjoyed sports, cooking and projects around the house. With his computer degree, he has worked with technology for many years in various companies. Today he is a partner and VP of Operations at a local technology firm.

About Pat
Pat is 5’4” with brown hair and green eyes. She grew up in Dayton, Ohio and also went to Ohio State University where she received her degree in Marketing. She currently has a home office and is a consultant for a medical firm. Pat is very active in the boys’ school. She is the President of the PTA and helps to ensure that the school always has the necessary funds to have cutting edge educational tools. She also likes to be very involved with the boys’ activities and tries never to miss a single school party.
Photography and scrapbooking are Pat’s favorite hobbies. It is difficult to find Pat at an event of any kind without her camera. She even has her scrapbooks in a fire proof box! Being a mom is TRULY what life is all about for her.

Pat’s parents and most of her relatives (including her grandparents who are 91 and 88 years old!) all live in Dayton just an hour away. This makes getting together for birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions very easy. Pat’s parents are especially involved in the children’s lives by being cheerleaders at their sporting events or other performances, being their buddies at escapes to amusement parks, museums or other fun events, or just being another source of support and love when needed.
About Joey and Lukas
Joey and Lukas like to play “secret agent” with the neighborhood kids and spend hours running around the outside on “special” missions. They each are very involved with various sports. Joey plays basketball and flag football and Lukas plays just about everything! They both do well in school and enjoy their classmates and teachers. They are both very excited about having a little sister who they can play with and “protect”.
Nika
Last, but not least, another important part of our family is our miniature Beagle pup, Nika. As you can see in the pictures, she is COMPLETELY comfortable with children. Truth be known -she thinks she is a child!!
Home & Community-
We live in a great Midwestern community just north of Columbus, Ohio. Our house is on a court (one of Pat’s requirements for the kids) in a wonderful neighborhood with a big backyard. The area has many families with children and it is not uncommon for entire evenings and/or weekends to be spent with the yard filled with neighborhood children playing tag, squirt guns, sports, etc. We love that we live in a very family-oriented town.
As a family we love spending time with friends and family. We have regular long weekends at Grandma and Grandpa’s and every year we go to the State Fair and Kings Island Amusement park with a big group of the family. We have also visited places like Colonial Williamsburg, Washington DC (all the monuments and museums), Mexico, Florida and Tennessee. One of our big traditions is the Ohio State Football season. Everyone gets in on the cheering, including Nika who we dress in “Scarlet and Grey”, the team colors.
Kindly Yours,
Ron and Pat
