Heather & Jason

Dear Birth Mother:

We’d first like to thank you for taking the time to read our letter and for the chance to share our story with you. We have tremendous admiration and respect for the decision you are about to make. Without your generosity and your act of selfless love, couples like us who cannot conceive would never have the chance to share our love with a child. We hope you know that you are giving the most beautiful and thoughtful gift anyone could possibly give. We are truly honored that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your child and trust that no matter what decision you make it will be the right one for you and your child.

Our story…..

Hi, we are Heather and Jason. We have been together for five years and married for four. We went to high school together, but didn’t start dating until two years after graduation. We have a loving relationship and are very blessed to have great family and friends, while being financially stable and in excellent health. We had often talked about adopting and after no success at conceiving a baby the old fashioned way; we decided it was time to take the next step. We are so excited about starting a family of our own. Many of our friends and family have recently had babies and it only makes us more eager to have children that we can raise together. Our niece Phoebe runs around our house constantly screaming “I’m getting a baby cousin” and hopefully she will have her wish as well as ours fulfilled soon.

Our Home…..

We recently moved into and renovated a four bedroom, two-story house that Jason’s great grandfather built many years ago. Our home is so special to us, not only because we have added our own personal touch to it, but also because this is the house where Jason's granpa was raised in. We can't wait to fill our home with the joy a child will bring. Our neighbors are great and many children live in our neighborhood. Your child will have playmates on every corner. We are in an area with good schools and a park just one mile away. While we live in a small town, we are just minutes away from larger cities that offers exciting possibilities. We feel blessed to have access to a beautiful and peaceful environment to live and grow in.

About Heather….

Heather is a beautiful, 25 year old vivacious young woman. She is a 5’4” brown-eyed, brown-haired bundle of energy. She grew up in Texas and moved to Tennessee at age 11. She is a nurturing wife, aunt, and friend who absolutely loves children and they love her. She is the one running around at the birthday parties with camera in hand taking more pictures than the parents! Her sister Shannon, and brother-in-law Jason, live nearby with their three small children (Gavin, age 9, Avery, age 5 and Phoebe, age three) as does her husband’s brother who has a newborn baby named Eli. She is surrounded by family and friends who are a tight support system that will be there for her just likes she is there for them. She is very active in all of their lives and just naturally gravitates toward anyone with children. Reading, cooking, sewing quilts and crafts are some of her favorite things to do. She recently redecorated her new home and loves to entertain. Her home is her castle and it is a clean and comfy haven for her Jason. They share a love of many things such as each other, God, their family and their many friends. Heather also has an adventurous side; just ask her about that vacation on the dude ranch or the romps on the beach. While she is now working as a Pharmacy Tech , she plans on being a stay-at-home Mom when children enter the picture. I know she will have all the titles that you associate with a Mother who is actively involved in their child’s life…Soccer Mom, Classroom Mother, Chauffer, event organizer, party planner, etc.

About Jason…..

Jason is a 26 year old, blue-eyed twin. He, and his identical twin brother, Jeremy share everything. They even share jobs! They both work for UPS and the stories are many about businesses and acquaintances not being able to tell them apart. Jason is the true outdoorsman who loves to lift weights, play basketball, ride horses, race dirt bikes, go hunting and fishing and play paintball. He has an entrepreneurial spirit about him and shows his artistic side by doing carpentry on the side as well as some construction work. Family surrounds them on every corner. His sister Chasity, his Mother, and his brother’s family all live within minutes of each other and they are very close. Jason is a compassionate and supportive husband looking forward to becoming a father. While he is involved in his niece’s and nephew’s lives, he just learned how a newborn can steal your heart immediately when he recently held baby Eli (his newborn nephew) for the first time. Being a responsible, caring and compassionate man makes him an excellent candidate as a father for any child.

Just for fun…..

We live in a cozy little town in Tennessee. There is so much for a child to enjoy and a family to participate in. We can go horseback riding, canoeing, fishing and hunting at anytime as Jason’s mother lives on a gorgeous farm that overlooks our town. She only lives two miles away, so we are constantly going there to ride four wheelers, play basketball or just to relax and enjoy the view. We also have the arts to include in our fun. Our town has the Arts Center that has been nationally recognized for its excellence in theater productions and musical programs. We can literally go from farm life to city life without traveling a great distance. We take pride in leading active and healthy lifestyles and we love going to national parks to hike and camp or to the beach to hang out with friends. Our most treasured trip was one we took with Jason’s twin and his wife to Montana. For two weeks, we hiked, went fly fishing, took a trail ride and experienced life in a totally different way before coming back to our own little cozy cabin every night. We treasure the relationships we have with our friends and family and we take every opportunity we can to explore new places and make wonderful memories that we will always cherish.

We hope this letter has given you a glimpse into our lives and into our hearts. We are so grateful to you for your courage and faith in bringing a precious child into this world, and we hope that something about us will touch your heart as you consider the miracle of adoption for your child. If you choose to place your child in our home, we solemnly promise that we will do everything possible to unconditionally love and rear your child to be a loving child of God and man. We promise to provide your child with an atmosphere that will include physical, spiritual, and emotional preparation for what life may bring, and promise to always be there through both times of trial and times of joy.
