Dear Birthmother,
We would like to thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We find you to be very courageous in your journey to find the right adoptive parents for your child. We can only try to understand the difficulty of your decision. We would like you to know that if given the opportunity, we will provide your child with a warm, safe, and very loving home. It would be our greatest honor to be considered the parents to raise your child.

Our Beginning
We are Eric and Kelly and we would love to share with you our story. Both Eric and I were born and raised in Southern California, ironically enough we met each other when we were in the 8th grade. We were friends throughout high school, never anything more. Eric always kept in touch with me when he was in college just to keep tabs on me and see what I was up to. It wasn’t until August of 1998 that the two of us had realized that there was a deeper connection between the two of us. We were just meeting as friends as we had in the past, but there were sparks that flew this time! From that moment on our lives continued to get richer and richer with love! We were married one year later in September of 1999, bought a home the following year, and then knew that the time was right to start a family.
We were blessed in 2002 with our daughter Madeline, she is such a special little girl who just loves life and wakes up every day with eyes filled with happiness to enjoy what the new day may bring. She is very outgoing and prays for a little brother or sister every day.
Our Reason for Adopting
In 2004 we gave birth to Olivia Faith. It is so hard to talk about but we want to share with you our reason for wanting to adopt a child. Tragically, Olivia was taken from us just ten days after her birth due to a birth defect. It was the most horrible experience of our lives, but we fortunately had Madeline to get us through our darkest of times. Since then we have tried to conceive but have been unsuccessful and this is why we have chosen adoption. We have several friends who have adopted and all feel so blessed. It would be the greatest gift to us.

About Kelly:
Family is the most important and essential element of my life. Being a mom is my most important and rewarding job, I love every minute of it! My parents provided such an amazing foundation for me; they were the perfect role models. They have been married for 44 years and live just under a mile from us. My sister, her husband, and 3 children live 5 doors down from them! I am very close to my mom and sister, they are my best friends. I have a brother too, he lives in Reno and we are very close too!
I am an executive with a cosmetic company in Southern California. I have been with the company for 13 years and love it! I am fortunate enough to work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility for our family.
Some of my favorite things to do is gardening, scrap booking, decorating our home, and always entertaining. Our home is constantly filled with a lot of laughter and love.
About Eric
Eric loves being a daddy – plain and simple. Without a doubt my most favorite part of the day is playing with my daughter. I help coach her soccer team and we are constantkly going to the park and to friend’s houses to go swimming. From the time Madeline was an infant to her current pre Kindergarten age I am just constantly amazed at the love I can have for a child. Although I am a Vice President for a large corporation my work allows me the flexibility to spend time at home as well as in the office.
Having a perfect balance of work and home allows me to really feel connected to all that surround me.
On the weekends I love mountain biking, trail running and ocean swimming. Another hobby of mine is to go to professional baseball games. Baseball has always been an integral part of my life and my family just loves being out there with me as well.
I have a younger sister who I am very close to and is a wonderful aunt to our daughter . My parents who are divorced live in close proximity and thy are an integral part of our lives. I even still have grandparents and other family members within 20 minutes of our house.
I have many wonderful memories of playing baseball with my dad and going to movies. My mother was the one who started my love of cooking. I love to eat as much as I love to cook so it is a great match.
We have many friends with children that we socialize with on a regular basis. As Kelly mentioned above, our house is constantly filled with laughter and good times.
About Us
We live in a suburb outside of Los Angeles, CA. Our neighborhood is one that everyone knows one another and the kids are always having play dates. We love to walk to the park, hike in the hills behind our home, and have BBQ’s with our neighbors.
We love spending time at our home together. Eric is the cook in the family and Kelly is his sous chef (assistant/cleaner). He makes the main course and she makes the side dishes and salad. We love to entertain!
We have annual passes to Disneyland and we are definitely regulars there. Eric has been a huge fan of the Dodgers since he was a little boy. We are season ticket holders. We enjoy Jazz Concerts at The Hollywood Bowl, hikes in the hills behind our home, playing in the park, and family bowling on many Friday nights. We take annual trips to Mammoth with the entire family; Kelly’s parents and her sister, husband, and children. We rent a condo for a week and do puzzles, take hikes, fish (one year Kelly’s mom caught Mr. Big, he was 24” long!), swim, and play games. We have such a good time together! We make sure to spend time together as a family every day, we know our time together is priceless and something that we cherish. With just the three of us, we are missing another little one to complete this unit.
Family and Friends
Our family is huge! When we get together for holidays and birthdays there are about 30 people between our parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Our gatherings are filled with a lot of noise, laughter, and tons of food!
Kelly’s parents are our support system, always there for us. The grandchildren (all 9 of them, Kelly’s sister has 3 children and brother has 5) call them, “Mama and Papa”. We aren’t the only ones excited to add to our family, Kelly’s parents are looking forward to having a 10th grandchild. They know how much we want another child and know how special it is to have siblings.
We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family that is always there when you need them and so many friends to fill our weekends with so much fun!
