Dear Birth Mother,
We have read other birth mother letters and so many women will say that writing this letter is the hardest thing they have ever done. We however, do not think it is the hardest thing we have ever done, but it is by far the most important and most exciting letter we will ever write. We know this is a difficult road that you are currently traveling but we know that you will make the right decision for you and your baby. A good mother always does with is best for her child. And you and only you will know which home and couple is best for your baby.

We want you to know we will never forget the gift that you are giving us. One of the greatest gifts in life is life itself and you would be giving us “a life”. You should be so proud of yourself for being so selfless and giving because you would be responsible for giving us this gift. We will be open and honest with your child and tell them where and how we got him/her. We will be proud to tell others that we were chosen by this “special angel” as parents, and that “special angel” is you. We can honestly say we don’t think you will find a better home for your child. We will give your baby a loving Christian home, a great education and a good foundation for life.

About Jennifer and Billy-
Billy and I started dating in the summer of 2005. We dated for about a year then got engaged. We had endless talks about having a family and adoption was always a choice that we discussed. We feel that we both have been very blessed in our lives and that the perfect way to share our blessings would be to adopt a child. You see my brother and sister were both adopted as infants. My parents had tried for many years to have children with no success, so they chose to adopt. Then four years after they brought my sister home they had me, which was a huge surprise. However, growing up with adopted siblings was fabulous! I love my brother and sister very much and I am very close to them both. They are my brother and sister and always will be. Since I’ve had such a great experience with adopted siblings I know that Billy and I can give that same great experience to your baby.

Billy and I got married in December 2006. We had a small ceremony with our families and a nice big reception with family and friends. Billy and I were both born and raised in North Carolina where we still reside.

We share our home with our two dogs Jas and Marlin (they are Yorkshire Terriers). They have very different personalities, Jas is very loving and Marlin is just like “Dennis the Menace”, he is always up to NO good. We love to take them to our beach home during the spring and summer. They are not crazy about the water, but they do love to go walking on the beach. We are excited to share our walks on the beach with your child.
Our Families-
Billy has an older sister and a twin sister. They both live in NC with their families. We visit with them often and try to spend time with our nieces and nephews. His twin sister only lives 45 minutes from us so we see her and her boys quite a bit. They love to spend time with Uncle Billy hunting, boating and fishing.
My brother and sister both live in NC with their families. They each have two children (a boy and a girl). Both of the boys are very into baseball and play year round on traveling teams. They all love to come and spend time with us at the beach. We love to take them skiing and water tubing, the kids have an absolute blast, and usually the adults do as well. Billy and I are very competitive so we will try to see who can out ski the other (the next day is rough because every muscle in our bodies hurt)!
Billy and I are very fortunate to have great role models as parents. Billy’s parents have been married for 46 wonderful years and they reside in the same town as Billy and I live. My parents have been married for 52 wonderful years, and they live about 2 ½ hours from us. Billy and I have worked very hard to build a solid foundation for our marriage, and we know that we will be celebrating 50+ years together as well.
About our home-
Our house is in the very back of the neighborhood, which is gated. We have 12 acres of land (plenty of room for a little one to play) and a beautiful house that we have worked hard to make our home. Our home has four bedrooms upstairs and our master suite downstairs. Billy bought the house from his parents about 4 years ago. We also have a farm about 20 minutes from our home where we love ride around and see all of the wildlife.
We want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to read our letter to you. We know that you are probably overwhelmed with the decision you are about to make, so just know that you will make the right one. We hope that we have not only shared our wish to adopt but we have also shared our feelings. Please remember that you truly are an angel, so be proud of your brave decision and take time everyday to thank yourself for the gift you are giving. Please call one of our adoption advisors at AdoptHelp at 1-800-637-7999 if you would like to speak with us about adopting your child.
God Bless!
Jennifer and Billy
