We are Gary and Sharie and want to thank you for allowing us to introduce ourselves to you. Although we have not met you, we are thinking of you and praying for you as you make a decision which will be one of the most important ones of your life. We can only imagine the range of emotions you have experienced as you learned of your pregnancy and decided whether or not to parent. We know that if you have decided to place your baby for adoption it is because you believe that is the best choice you can make for your baby. If this is the case, we want to thank you. Although the medical field has been discouraging to us, the possibility of adoption has filled us with hope that we can still have the children we greatly desire to have.

Although we have been married for only two years, we plan to be married for the rest of our lives. We have known each other as friends for more than 20 years. Gary and Sharie’s brother were best friends in high school and Sharie knew Gary as her brother’s friend for a number of years. After living in a different city for nearly ten years, Sharie moved back to San Antonio. At that time both of us began singing on the praise team at our church and we had more opportunities to talk and get to know each other. As we dated, we learned that we had much in common and it was only natural to choose to build our dreams and join our lives together.

We love children and it is our desire to fill our home with children we can love and have it ring out with their laughter. We will give our children a foundation of love, support, training and a good education and we will encourage them to pursue their dreams. We will gladly welcome one baby, twins or multiples into our hearts and our home.

Our Family & Friends

We make it a priority to spend time with our family and friends. Our friends from church are like family to us and are thrilled for us as we adopt. Sharie’s brother and both sets of our parents live in the same city as we do. All of our family and friends are excited for us as we look forward to adding to our family. Our parents can hardly wait to start loving on their new grandchildren! As Christians, our commitment to follow God is central to our lives. We believe the Bible is God’s Word and we believe in salvation through Jesus Christ. We are active in our church and will continue to be.

Work & Play

Both of us have a strong work ethic. Gary has been at the same company for 16 years. After 15 years, Sharie ended her career as a paralegal in order to stay at home and prepare for a family. She is currently working on a business at home. We work hard, but also enjoy playing. Gary enjoys playing the guitar and fishing; Sharie enjoys crocheting and reading; both of us enjoy water skiing, traveling, movies and visiting with family and friends. Our labrador retriever, Blackstone, joins in on the action as often as he can.

Travel Memories

We’ve captured some great vacation memories with our camera: Hiking to the top of the mountain to find the beginning of a stream, watching an elk take a steam bath standing on hot springs, watching bears feed and lumber down the hill, seeing a herd of buffalo cross the road in front of our car, being surrounded by majestic, snow-capped mountains and finding a Grand Canyon and waterfalls in Yellowstone. We hope to take a family vacation each year so we can discover the wonders of our country and around the world.

Weekend Fun!

One of the things we’ve learned as a couple is that we become closer when we take time to play together. We love to go to the coast to fish and relax. We went to the Strawberry Festival on a Sunday afternoon and had a blast! We enjoyed the shows, looking through the outdoor shops and tasting treats only found at the fair.
