About Us...
We are Dana and Bob ~ a truly happy married couple who share much love and respect for each other. We have been together for 3 years and married for one and a half. Our dream has been to have a lively house full of kids, dogs and lots of friends and relatives dropping in. We live in a wonderful private gated community in Irvine, California ~ proudly rated the 7th Safest Large City in America. There are excellent schools in our area & we live 20 minutes from the ocean. We truly enjoy all of the above. The only thing missing is a 'little one' to share our wonderful life with. We are pretty sure that we cannot have a child on our own. We never did the fertility route. Adoption just seemed the natural choice. We like the idea of ‘open adoption’ because we feel it is the best possible way to bring a child into an adoptive family. We look forward to later explaining to our child that we, along with his/her birth mother "chose each other". And, collectively, out of love, we shared a dream of giving them the best possible life ~ one in which they can achieve their fullest potential possible. We will instill in them that their life and who they are is truly an expression of selfless and unconditional love.

Our Life...
We have a big extended family who is anxiously awaiting our new addition. Bob has 2 older brothers and a dad that lives locally and one younger brother in Austin. His mom passed 1 year ago. Dana has one younger brother who lives in Costa Rica, a step-brother in Missouri & a step-sister and both parents close by. Together we have a ton of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins galore! Our 'Fur-Child' as we call her, is a lovable Labrador Retriever named KC. She's 13 years, very gentle and loves people; especially small children because they drop lots of good bits & treats around the house!

We are financially stable and very blessed with a comfortable life. Both of us have enjoyed successful careers. Bob is a Vice President of Business Operations & has been with his company 23 years. Dana is a Corporate Sales Trainer and has been with her company 15 years. Dana is ready to leave that post once a baby arrives, so she can start a new career as a stay-at-home-mom.

We are a healthy, active couple with a full life. Aside from local and out of state family gatherings, we enjoy socializing with good friends, most of which have children. Our ‘together’ hobbies are golf, travel and sporting events. The travel part we are very good at ~ as for golf, well, not so good but we thoroughly enjoy it! We would love to get the little one started with their first set of clubs as soon as possible, and then off to enjoy family golf outings! We also enjoy the performing arts, attending track meets, football, baseball, basketball and soccer events.

We love to expose ourselves to different cultures, trying different foods and meeting new people. We feel it is important to teach our child to appreciate diversity and be exposed to various cultures, as we believe it broadens ones view of the world, most importantly, how they relate to others.

Bob’s passion and personal hobby is announcing Track & Field events. He is an expert on the subject and for many years he has announced collegiate and Olympic athletes at meets all over the country. Dana’s passion and personal hobby is food and cooking. She loves creating special meals for family and friends, making pastries & other delights. We spend allot of time together because we truly enjoy being with each other.

Our Dreams and Values...
Our intent is to raise our child to be a kind, generous, fair and responsible person. We will encourage him/her to explore & participate in all activities such as sports, music, the arts, etc. We will encourage a college education. Most importantly, we will give a balance of guidance & support so that our child can grow up to make their own choices. We will surround our child with patience, love & affection, so he/she can flourish with confidence and grow up with a strong sense of accomplishment no matter what they choose to do.

"We are extremely excited to have a child in our lives! We are fully present to the fact that this is the greatest responsibility we are choosing to take on in our entire life. Bob and I got married at a later age than most couples. As a result, we've had lots of years to grow, expand, establish meaningful friendships & see many places. Our experiences have made us stronger, wiser & deeply committed to each other. Now, we feel it is time to contribute these life lessons to another little human being. Contributing this to a child would be a precious gift and the greatest experience I could possibly imagine."

More From Bob...
"I am very excited about entering this new chapter in our life. My life path has loaned me many great lessons and experiences that I feel I can share with our child. Dana and I are excited about accepting this new adventure and the challenges that come with it. Everyone tells us we will be good parents. We are very committed to that goal."

More about KC...
KC is a very gentle Labrador Retriever. She has the typical disposition of a Lab, and because of her ripe old age of 13 years she is even more laid back. She still has some puppy in her (as all labs do), so she still likes to play with her squeaky toys. We love her like a child and we know she will bond beautifully with the baby.
