Betty and Stacy

Dear Birth Mother,

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Your child will always know that a wonderful, beautiful mother gave birth to your child, and gave us the most treasured gift of all – a child to love.

I know you are about to make the most difficult decision of your life, and I want you to know that we are ready, willing and able to provide a lifetime of opportunities for your baby. With us, your baby would be our number one priority.

We are unable to have a child despite being young, fun, and filled with energy. We want a baby more than anything else in the world. My husband, Stacy and I have been married for 10 years, love children, and want to have a child which will only be possible through your selfless gift of adoption. We are excited about adopting a baby and starting a family of our own. We long for the joys and challenges of parenthood.

We hope this letter expresses to you who we are and gives you a glimpse into our lives. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to get to know us.

What about Betty?
I’m a “people-person,” and my passion is music. I love to sing! I sing often at church, weddings, funerals, or anywhere anyone asks me...sometimes Stacy has to ask me to STOP singing. I teach songs and actions to the Sunday school students at my church throughout the year and at vacation Bible school in the summer.

Children are my life. Even though I spend lots of time with my 4 nieces, 5 nephews, Sunday school students and high school students, I still want a baby to call my own.

As one of six children, I cannot imagine going through life without a child. Your child will celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and birthdays surrounded by many loving family members. We’re all ready for the addition of your baby.

We are happiest visiting, traveling, eating and playing with family and friends. I am very social and love to entertain friends with family stories.

We enjoy the outdoors and take an annual fishing trip in the spring to take advantage of the warm spring days. My sister, Laura, has an annual hayride in the autumn near Halloween when the leaves change colors and the nights get chilly. Our costumes are always the best!

We believe in giving back to our community. In August, my family participates as a team for the Relay for Life. We stay up all night walking, dancing, playing volleyball to raise money.

I love teaching high school math at an award-winning high school, and will be a stay-at-home mom during the summer months. A planner and list-maker, I organize fun things for our family to do.

Stacy says he was attracted to me because of my sense of humor, my ability to always have fun and my personality. My greatest desire is to start a family of my own, and my number one goal is to be the kind of mother who is supportive and understanding and above all, provide your child with unconditional love, support and respect.

What about Stacy?
With Betty telling stories and singing all the time, I’m left to play the role of the strong, silent type! As you can tell, I have a great sense of humor like Betty, but I am more quiet.

Family – and having a child of our own to love – is so important to both Betty and me. I am the youngest of 3 boys. I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews. My parents and brothers live within10 miles our home.

My passion is being outdoors. My brothers and I help each other when it comes to taking care of our 120-acre farm, in the beautiful Ozarks of Missouri cutting wood, fixing fence or making home improvements. Betty’s family plays hard together; my family works hard together. What a great balance for a child to experience life at its best. Either way, we always have a good time when we are together with our families.

I work for the Waynesville school district maintenance department, and enjoy using my carpentry skills to build things, including our new home.

I am always thinking about my next project and have a need to constantly be doing something. I love working on the farm, fishing, and being outdoors with my dad and brothers.

Betty says she was attracted to me because of my good looks – I mean my great sense of humor, and that I am honest, respectful, soft-spoken and hardworking. I really want to be a dad and to hear the words, “da, da, da” for the first time.

Together we are…
…fun, family, love, laughter and the cutest couple ever!

Stacy makes me laugh and feel good about the person I am. The fact that I am a social butterfly and Stacy is reserved helps us to complete one another. Our personalities complement each other.

Humor is a large part of who we are. We have our own little phrases and jokes and enjoy being together. For the most part, we just make ourselves laugh.

Stacy and I live on a 120-acre farm in rural Missouri, near the Ozarks, which is a beautiful mountainous lake region.

We live in a new home that Stacy and his hard-working family built. Our neighborhood is quiet and very safe. People are friendly and everyone knows one another.

Stacy and I work for the same school district, so we are fortunate to be able to be “green” and drive to and from work together. We enjoy taking care of our animals, spending time outdoors, and watching movies.

We spend a lot of weekends traveling. We live near Osage Beach, so we also like to spend time going to the beach, camping and fishing.

Thank you, again, for considering us as potential parents. We wish to offer this baby a safe and secure future filled with opportunities of a lifetime, and most importantly, lots of love.

God bless!
