We are Sherry and Ken. We have been happily married for 18 years and have two sons. We do not feel that our family is complete, so we have turned to adoption to make our dream of a larger family come true. I, Sherry, was adopted as a newborn. We cannot imagine what it must be like for you to have to make this decision but we do understand what it is like to be the adopted child. I have always felt truly blessed to have been adopted by my adoptive parents. Adoption has been an amazing experience for me and we will be honored to share the same amazing experience with your child.
About Us
We live in sunny California on a cul-de-sac where the neighborhood kids ride their bikes and roller blade together on the weekends. We have a swimming pool, sports court, and a giant swing set in the backyard where the boys play almost every day after school. We live in a great school district but choose to send our children to private school. We believe in education and its importance and will be thrilled to pass that on to the newest bundle of joy that arrives into our family.
While education is extremely important to us, we also feel that it is important to see things with your own two eyes. We love to travel with our children and extended family. We have been to some fantastic and interesting places around the world together. This summer we are taking the kids to 3 different countries. Traveling together are memories of a lifetime that a person never forgets and we enjoy every minute together with our family. We are excited about to possibility of exposing a new child to all of the wonderful things the world has to offer.
Sherry has lived in California all her life and is a stay-at-home mom. Ken moved to California when he was 12 years old. We were college sweethearts and got married after Ken graduated. Both sets of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all live within a 3 hour radius allowing us to get together on a regular basis. Ken coaches many of the boys’ athletic teams and Sherry is often the team mom. Ken enjoys playing basketball, gardening and cooking in his spare time. Sherry enjoys snow skiing, going to the gym and reading in her spare time.
In addition to family, education, travel, and outdoor activities, we believe in continually cultivating a strong spiritual connection within our lives, and have seen the difference it makes in all areas. We believe in volunteering and giving back to our community and are teaching this to our children. As parents, it is our goal to offer each of our children the benefits of a loving environment, including self-confidence, a good value system, emotional happiness, and a sense of belonging. We strive for balance in our lives and hope to pass on this philosophy. We are ready to dedicate ourselves to nurturing your child. We would love to learn about you and your family too!
