We are overjoyed at the thought of meeting and getting to know you in this unbelievable, life-changing journey. About
Us
We are Judy and Steven and we unexpectedly met at a hair salon on October 13,
2001 and immediately fell in love! We never thought that we’d find each
other sitting under a hair dryer! We married on October 12th of the following
year. We had so much in common and shared a similar passion in our lives that
we knew we were soul mates for life!
We live in a very quaint beachside community. Our neighborhood is very quiet, safe and is nearby to many parks and beautiful beaches. We live within minutes to the best schools in Southern California. We share many happy times with a variety of friends and family who live nearby.
We enjoy many outdoor activities together including walks on the beach and nearby trails. We love to play tennis, ride bikes or just throw the Frisbee in our front yard. We both love animals and have taken day trips to SeaWorld, the Long Beach Aquarium and the San Diego Wild Animal Park. We enjoy many art related activities including going to local galleries, outdoor concerts, plays or just a great evening at the movies. We also enjoy a good night at home preparing and cooking fabulous meals together in our gourmet kitchen.
We have always known that we wanted to have a family of our own to share our life and that adoption would be a wonderful way to achieve that. We both strongly believe that love is an essential element to living life. We both have such huge love and support from both of our families that our child will be loved and treasured by everyone around us.
Judy's
Story
I was born and raised in North
Hollywood, California. I am
the youngest of four kids (with
twin sisters Wendy and Lynne
and my oldest brother David).
We were a very close-knit family
and, thanks to my father’s
love for road trips, took many
vacations around the country
during the summertime. I truly
miss those special moments
and am looking forward to creating
new memories with our children.
I enjoy many outdoor activities and love to take walks with my friends and family at our nearby harbors, beaches and park trails. For relaxation I take yoga classes a couple of times a week. I also enjoy painting with water colors and creating fun arts and crafts.
Since I was a little girl I have always known that one day I would adopt. My lifelong passions have always revolved around helping others to feel special about themselves. This is why I started my own Wellness Day Spa over 18 years ago. I thoroughly enjoy what I do and look forward to every day. This business has allowed me to volunteer my spare time to women who are battling cancer. I also have the opportunity to work with physically and emotionally abused children. I look forward to being a parent and will cherish every single moment with our child.
Steven's
Story
I was born in Fullerton, California
and moved to Sacramento when
I was three years old. I am
the one and only child my parents
had. Both of my parents were
born into large families and
I never once felt alone as
I had so many relatives constantly
around me to share their love.
I was aware of adoption very
early on as I have 5 cousins
who were adopted. I always
thought that it was so special
to help a child to become a
part of our family.
As I grew older my true passion for sports and academics emerged. Thanks to my father, grandfather and uncles I’ve played competitive sports my whole life.
I enjoy playing golf and tennis as well as going on long mountain bike rides. I keep my memory sharp by playing chess, backgammon, Scrabble and Sudoku puzzles. For relaxation I like to read books and listen to music or watch movies.
I graduated from college with a business degree and a minor in the sciences. After a few years in the business world, like Judy, I knew that I was supposed to help others. I changed my path of careers and have been a nutritionist for the past 17 years. I’ve recently co-founded a nutritional company that will be providing health educational programs and nutritious vitamin supplements for children worldwide. I am looking so forward to being a loving father and best friend to our child.
We both want to truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for taking the time to learn a little about us and for considering us as parents for your child.
