Choose A Family : Parent Profile
Keely and Lou
Dear Birth Mother,
We don’t know where to begin. We have read a few other birth mother letters and can’t seem to put words to paper. But here it goes: First we want to say no matter what you do or who you choose to raise your child, that he or she will be loved no matter what. We are so ready to love a child there is no doubt in our minds the love is forever and unconditional. With that being said, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the courage and the special kind of person you are for considering to give us this gift.

About Us
We are Keely and Lou and we met in January of 2000. This is a crazy story…Keely decided to move to NYC from Dallas, Texas. Keely had vacationed in New York City in 1999 and decided this was a place where she had to be. Keely had never moved out of Texas and wanted to experience something different before she settled down. Her younger brother drove in a U-Haul to NYC with her. On the way, Keely offered (as a thank you) to stop in Atlantic City to teach him how to play black jack. He got to pick the hotel. He picked Caesar’s Palace and we sat down on a Black Jack table and began to play. The guy sitting next to her on the other side of her brother was Lou and kept picking on her accent. A long story later, we were married and settled in New Jersey. We live in a beautiful area 20 minutes from the beach. We are half an hour from NYC (which we love)!!!! We have a fun relationship - we talk all the time, we are goofy, serious, and together but have our own identities. We were lucky enough to have a daughter, Caden, in 2003. She is amazing and brings so much joy into our lives. We also have a dog named Bora. She is a four year old yellow lab and the best with children. When we found out we couldn’t have any more children we knew we still wanted more and decided to adopt. We were so excited when we made that decision and now here we are!

About Keely:
Keely is a pharmaceutical representative and has a flexible schedule. The great thing about her job is that she works from home and is able to be close to Caden and spend more time with her. She is dedicated to her child, husband, job, family, and friends. The most important thing to her is family and friends. She has 1 sister and 1 brother. She has 1 niece who she is very close to and does a lot with. Keely is funny, loyal, goofy, and full of life. She likes to play with Caden, read, travel, run, and do arts and crafts. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and started her career. She has been very successful with hard work and now enjoys a great career with an excellent balance of work and home life. She is a good person, laughs a lot, and is always making people feel at ease and good. Her favorite holiday is Christmas. When Keely was young her father decorated the house like the North Pole. Christmas was a big deal and lasted from Thanksgiving to mid-January. Her father is known as “Mr. Christmas” in his home town. Keely continues the tradition with her family and loves every minute of it.

About Lou:
Lou graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and started his career in Sales. He also works from home and has a flexible schedule. He has a great job that allows him to be home a lot and take care of Caden. He shares many of the responsibilities and is a hands-on dad. He is a great father and husband. He is from a big Italian family with 2 brothers and 1 sister. He is close with his siblings. He has 2 nephews and 1 niece who are the same age as Caden. He enjoys playing golf and doing anything sports related. He is a good friend and son. He is the type of person that is a little rough around the edges but would do anything to help anyone. He is outgoing and respected and well-liked in the community. He can make a friend just walking to get the mail. Lou’s favorite thing to do is play golf. He can’t wait until Caden is a little older to turn her into a little Tiger Woods!

Our daughter, Caden:
Caden is a great girl, she is 3 and so full of life and energy. Her favorite thing to do right now is gymnastics. She is quite good. Her favorite princess is The Little Mermaid. She will be the best big sister any little one could have. She has already been practicing helping to do diaper changes and feeding the baby with her dolls. She continually asks, “When my baby brother comes home, can I read to him, will he sit here, can I feed him?” She is ready!
Family:
The child we are blessed to adopt will get all the love we have. We will nurture our children and provide them with a good sense of who they are. We will teach them right from wrong and how to be good people. We were both raised by great parents and have great families with whom we are both really close. We plan to mirror that in our home and continue the happiness we have been given. Not only can we provide stability, travel, and good education, we can provide LOVE!!! Keely knows first hand about being raised by someone who is not biologically related (her step-dad came into the picture when she was 2). He has loved her unconditionally from the beginning. Being raised in a loving home is the most important thing. We will offer your child all we can (which will be a lot)!!

Doing things with our family and our extended family is very both to us. We have traveled with Caden all over and enjoy teaching her new things. We most enjoy family vacations and look forward to our “big” vacation every year. All in all our number one priority is our family and living life with as much fun and happiness as we can.
Thank you for reading our story. We hope something here has stuck with you and you are saying to yourself, “Here they are! These are the perfect people for me.” Please remember that what you are doing is such a selfless act and a beautiful thing. We are so thankful to you whom we have never met.

With warmest regards,
Keely and Lou
