Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for considering us as parents for your child. We know this cannot be an easy decision for you to make and we appreciate you taking the time to learn about us. We think we will make excellent parents who will offer a loving, nurturing and positive home in which a child can thrive.
About Us
We are Bob and Lonee. We met a week after New Year’s 2000 and have been inseparable ever since. We met in the small beach community where we both lived. After almost three incredible years of dating, we were married in October of 2002. We always wanted to have children, but have been unsuccessful in our attempts to conceive. We feel that adoption is a great way to make our dreams come true.
We are extremely social and have dozens of friends whom we share time with. Many of them have little kids and we would love to add another one to the mix!
We are very involved in philanthropies. We have donated to everything from the Special Olympics to the Inner Circle, a foster care organization, the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the World Wildlife Federation, among others.
We are passionate about education and present scholarships to college students who are in need.
We are also sports enthusiasts and enjoy participating in and attending as many sporting events as possible.
We are avid travelers and enjoy exploring new destinations on every excursion. We always choose offbeat-type vacations such as attending the world’s largest tomato fight in Spain to sleeping in an ice hotel in Quebec.
We also have rappelled down waterfalls in Costa Rica, swam with sharks in Belize, luged down mountains in New Zealand and experienced many other exciting adventures.
We take yearly vacations with our extended families. Our last trip was to Cabo San Lucas and all 22 of us had a blast!
Both of our families live in Southern California which makes it convenient to get together often. We have seven nieces and nephews and enjoy spending time with all of them.
We can’t wait to share memorable times with our future child. We believe that the more things one does and sees, the more well-rounded one becomes.
The grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins are so excited to spend time and share the love with the new baby!
About Lonee
I grew up in San Diego with a large family. I have two sisters and a brother and I am very close to all of them, seeing them frequently. I moved to Los Angeles to attend college and have lived here ever since.
I love children and chose a job out of college that was perfect for me, teaching. I received a teaching credential and taught elementary school for several years.
I was introduced to music as a young child and took everything from piano to ballet to clarinet lessons. Later on when I started my second career, court reporting, my musical skills came in handy as I taught piano while attending school. I plan on introducing our child to music as well, since it has truly enriched my life.
I have always dreamed of being a mom and I can’t wait to devote all of my time to our child.
About Bob
I grew up in Los Angeles. I have an older brother with whom I am extremely close. I love athletics and enjoy playing sports of all kinds.
I’m a big kid at heart. I am always the one that you’ll find in the middle of a group of kids, either entertaining them in a rabbit costume or showing them how to throw a football. I love getting involved, especially when it comes to children.
I have always been extremely driven. I started my own business the day after my last final in college and my company has become the best in its industry.
I enjoy helping others succeed and spend hundreds of hours a year speaking to groups of young adults, teaching them how to live up to their potential. This is my passion.
I am so thrilled to become a father. I look forward to developing the close bond with my child that I have been so blessed to have with my family.
We are very fortunate in our lives where everything has fallen into place, except for the ability to have a child. We feel that having children will make our lives complete. We’re looking forward to providing a great life for our future child and are anxiously awaiting their arrival.
