Monica and Lisa
We have a deep desire to share our love and life with a son or a daughter, and are so honored to be considered as parents to a child who is just beginning his or her exciting journey in this world. We believe we have a great deal to offer and want so much to share the many blessings we have! We are fortunate to have the love and support of extended family, many friends, a beautiful home and two lovable dogs. We have a passion for life’s adventures and look forward to an amazing future with a child or two. We believe the time is right for us to become parents, as we have achieved our professional goals, have financial security and have a nice balance of maturity and youthful energy.
We knew we were soul mates right from the start, and now can’t imagine living our lives without one another. We share similar beliefs, passions, and desires, and the differences we do have serve to complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We are deeply committed to one another and believe that the bond between us will serve as the foundation for a strong and loving family. We both believe in the power of diversity and the importance of experiencing different cultures. We are deeply affected by and sensitive to the conditions of the world and share a desire to help others.
We live in Pacific Palisades, a small beachside community that feels more like a small town than a suburb of Los Angeles. Our neighborhood is quiet, safe and filled with families and kids of all ages -- and lemonade stands on hot summer days! Our home is full of love, laughter, warmth, friends and family. We are only minutes from a day at the beach or a hike in the mountains. We enjoy a variety of activities, including: ziplining; kayaking; biking; going to films and art shows; conversing with friends and family; and sharing time at home writing, reading, internet surfing, watching television, gardening, cooking or just relaxing with our dogs. We love to travel and can’t wait to explore the world with our child. We believe that the foundation of our child’s education must include an understanding & appreciation of other cultures. We’ve traveled to many countries & have lived abroad – Lisa lived in Mexico, Israel & South Africa; Monica lived in Dominican Republic & Costa Rica. Together, we’ve visited Switzerland, Austria, Canada, and Hawaii.
Lisa - is wise, creative, compassionate and incredibly sensitive to the needs of others. Lisa enjoys pleasing those she loves by cooking delicious meals, making unique pieces of jewelry, giving nice long massages, writing letters, giving a compliment, or just by listening and encouraging the expression of individual talents, personal views and feelings. Lisa has directed her career to promoting health & social justice. She has woven her passion for creative authentic expression into projects which engage youth in creating and delivering compelling messages to prevent alcohol and drug abuse, violence, and other health problems
Lisa’s family is nearby, which means plenty of family gatherings and feasts with many cousins of all ages. Her mom is an especially intelligent woman with an accomplished career in anthropology. She travels often and will delight in bringing home to her grandchild found treasures from all around the world, telling fascinating stories, or recreating a divine meal she discovered in some exotic land.
Monica - is brilliant, funny, brave and kind. She is especially generous and loves to treat others to a delightful meal out, a trip to an amazing destination, or a thoughtful gift. Monica has strong communication skills and enjoys sharing opinions about current events and political developments, both in writing and in person. Although Monica is an accomplished lawyer and a senior vice president at MTV Networks, she has a very playful side that a child will surely enjoy – especially her fondness for games and Playstation! She loves music and enjoys playing the guitar. Monica is very close to her two loving parents, who provide a strong emotional foundation and selflessly offer love, support and encouragement in every way. Her parents are nearby, visit often, and can’t wait to become grandparents so they can shower their little grandchild with affection and pass on their rich life experiences and insights.
We are looking forward to building a family of our own and providing a safe, warm and cozy nest for our little girl or boy. We have always wanted to have children of our own but for a variety of logistical and biological reasons have not yet been able to make that dream come true.
