Loris & Kory
Dear Birthmother,
We are Loris and Kory and we really appreciate your taking the time to read our letter as you are making this incredibly important decision about the future of your baby. It is our hope that you realize that this difficult yet selfless decision of yours is helping to make our dream come true to have a child of our own..

About Us:
We met in Los Angeles in 1999 through a mutual friend and hit it off immediately. We’re opposites in a lot of ways, which is part of the attraction, but also see eye to eye on most things, which is why we’re such great friends as well. We got married in 2001 and have never been happier. We live in a great neighborhood in Los Angeles and both work in the entertainment industry, mostly in children’s programming. We really love dogs and currently have 3 golden retrievers, Georgie, Sophie and Fresca, and an Afghan Hound named Diva (she lives up to her name!) We enjoy hanging out with our many friends, eating great food, going to the movies and traveling every chance we get. We recently remodeled our home because we wanted to add a baby’s room and an extra guest room so that once we started a family, our families could come visit. Although we tried for several years to get pregnant and weren’t successful, we’ve both been very upbeat and optimistic throughout the entire experience. Upon the realization that we couldn’t have a baby on our own, we quickly turned our focus to adoption. Neither of us ever imagined that we wouldn’t be parents. And now the thought of adopting has brought a newfound purpose and excitement into our lives – we’re actually going to use the baby’s room for a baby’s room, and move that exercise equipment/clothes hanger into the garage! Most of our friend’s have young children so when we shared with them our news of adoption their support has been overwhelmingly positive – we’re very blessed!

About Kory
Kory is a really funny, loving person and he’s my best friend. He’s always wanted a child and I’m so excited for him to be a dad. Kory works as a creative executive for one of the largest entertainment companies in the world. He was born and raised in Texas and moved to Los Angeles in 1999. He was always very creative but never knew how or where to focus that energy. After graduating college and working in the corporate world for a few years, he decided to head out to sunny California to see if he could put his creative skills to good use. His job is very rewarding and to this day he can’t believe he actually gets paid to do something he loves. When he’s not working, Kory enjoys playing with the dogs, playing the ugliest game of golf you can imagine, hanging out with friends, and grilling on the barbecue…don’t forget, he’s from Texas! All of Kory’s family still lives in Texas, and he’s very close with his parents, older brother & sister-in-law, his 2 nieces, and his younger sister. We try to get to get back to Texas a couple of times a year, and thankfully everyone loves coming to LA – one of the perks of living in California, there’s never a shortage of visitors!

About Loris
Loris is the most loving, giving, and supportive person I know. I love making her laugh, and the fact that she’s still laughing at my corny jokes is proof enough how much she loves me – and I love her even more. Loris was born in Arizona and raised in Connecticut. After graduating college, she worked in New York for a large entertainment company and was transferred to Los Angeles in 1992 where she produced children’s programming for TV and video. After working for 15 years for the same company, she decided to leave the corporate lifestyle and became and an independent producer and continues to produce children’s programming. She’s really excited about having a child who will be able to watch and appreciate her shows. When she’s not working, she loves decorating the house, playing with the dogs, hanging out with friends, and enjoying the delicious barbecue that I make – you don’t have to be from Texas to enjoy great barbecue! All kidding aside, Loris is an amazing gourmet cook – which I love (man cannot live on barbecue alone). Loris’ mom and brother both live in Connecticut. They are all very close and visit each other several times a year.
