Dear Birthmother,
First let us start by saying “thank you” for choosing our profile and taking the time to consider us as a possible match for your precious child. We realized this is a difficult decision for you and that it takes an incredible amount of courage and unconditional love. We really feel honored to be considered.
Our names are Scot and Shellie and we have been married almost 3 years. We live in Arizona and have a beautiful home in Chandler. Since we have been together we have always spoken of the desire to adopt. We both feel that adoption is a wonderful gift to be given and received. We both have friends who are adopted and we also have friends who are adoptive parents. The joy that adoption has brought them is hard to hide.
Scot has lived in Arizona most of his life and has maintained close relationships with many of his childhood friends. Scot is a graduate of Arizona State University so naturally we are very dedicated Sun Devils fans who look forward to having our own little Sun Devil fan! Scot has been a Regional Sales manager for Turtle Wax, Inc. the last six years.
I grew up in Michigan and attended catholic school for 12 years. I am grateful for the experience because I believe it has helped me to become a person with strong values as well as one of compassion. After high school I attended college and then pursued a career in the dental field. I now work for an Oral Surgeon in Chandler, Arizona.
We have really been focused on preparing our self’s for a family. We now feel we are at a place where we will be able to provide a loving and stable home to a child. We are prepared to help that child to pursue their dreams and to put them on the path to a successful future. We also feel that we will be able to share so much love and laughter with this child that it will only be matched by the joy we will feel to have this child to share in our lives.
We are very active and we enjoy being outside whenever possible to take advantage of the great weather. We also love to travel and enjoy seeing new and beautiful places. We look forward to traveling and seeing everything for the first time together as a family, as well as making memories that will always be cherished and remembered.
Scot and I hoped to instill a strong sense of values in our child, and to also teach them to be open minded to life and all the opportunities that life has to offer. We will encourage them to follow their dreams and to embrace new experiences. We will support them and give them the confidence they need to believe in themselves. Scot and I both enjoy life and can find joy in the simplest of things and are grateful for the life we have and look forward to sharing our love and hearts with a child.
We know this is an emotional time for everyone and there are so many things we would like to tell you about us, as well as things we would like to know about you. One thing we are confident in saying is, " that we will always try to do our BEST," and if given this gift of a child we will show and give all the love we have.
