Doreen and Louis
Dear Birthmother,
It is with great respect that we sit down and write you this letter. Although our circumstances are very different, it is truly a miracle that we are being brought together to love and protect this child of God. We admire you so very much for choosing the plan of bringing this precious child into the world and we are very thankful that you are reading our profile as you embark upon some of the hardest decisions of your life.
We are Lou and Doreen who love and adore each other. We have been together for almost five years and have great respect for each other as well as others. We both love children and look forward to many years of raising a family. We love to have fun and our lives are filled with laughter. We dream of a happy, loving home filled with laughter of children. Our lives are surrounded by a large family and a circle of friends filled with a lot of children and babies. With cousins and many friends that were adopted we’ve always had conversations revolving around adoption. So, after a few years of attempting to have a child, we are very eager and excited to finally become parents through the miracle of adoption and we hope that you will find in us everything you want for your child.
Our Interests
Our weekends are filled with hanging out, barbecuing, playing baseball, going to the beach, taking long walks, snuggling, wrestling, playing rummikub, and spending time with family and friends. We consider ourselves to be the life of the party because we love to laugh and make sure people are having fun. We love going to the beach or to the lake. We are both water people and love to be around it. Lucky for us we live central to go to the beach or the lake. We are blessed to live in a state where we enjoy all four seasons. In the summer we vacation on the Maine coast with family and friends. In the winter we enjoy the snowstorms, snow sledding, ice skating, and snowmobiles. Although neither one of us particularly enjoys driving in the snow, it is still quite beautiful. We both work out to keep ourselves healthy and in shape. When we bought our home we worked very hard to make it our own which is filled with love. We enjoy sharing our home with people we love and respect, but also enjoy those quiet times together. We look forward to the day we can bring our child home and add their laughter and love to ours.
About Doreen...
Doreen has a younger brother and sister with a total of eight nieces and nephews. She was a general manager of a TGIFridays up until over a year ago. She left the hectic lifestyle of the restaurant business to prepare the home for a child. Her favorite room so far has been the nursery. Doreen is more of a homebody and is addicted to reality shows. Her favorites are American Idol and Big Brother. Although she also enjoys Survivor and Dancing With The Stars. She is very active in church as she helps out on Sundays at the info booth, attends a woman’s bible study group, and works weekly at the food pantry. Doreen has a great passion for the food pantry and takes a lot of pride in helping the families who need it. She is always looking to help someone out who needs it. She is very compassionate and cares for the well being of others. She has been taken care of close friends’ baby in our home three days a week so that both parents could work without putting him in daycare. Doreen enjoys playing and hanging out with her family as often as she can. She has always been the nutty aunt as she enjoys riding on the go carts, rides at the carnival, wrestling with her nephews and playing catch. Doreen will be a stay at home mom and daycare will not be an option in raising our child. She is a kid at heart and will be a great mom.
About Lou
Lou is the older of two younger sisters. He has a huge family on his mom and dad’s side. His dad is one of nine and his mom is one of 13 so you can just imagine what the holidays are like. At Thanksgiving the sit down dinner consists of 60 or more relatives. Lou is a finance manager and works very hard at his job. He is very optimistic and a go getter. Lou loves to entertain by having a house full of family and friends. He is very proud of his home and enjoys showing it off. At night time after he tucks me into bed and lays with me until I fall asleep he stays up and plays his games on the play station or he watches sports. He is a die hard Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Nascar fan. He loves to play ice hockey and often skates on a men’s’ team. He attends the Nascar races twice a year with his grammar school friends. Lou will watch a game, tape it and then watch it again. He is a sports junkie. Lou is a caring, sensitive, strong, patient, compassionate and loving husband. Lou is going to be a great dad. I knew God saved him for me as he is my angel sent from above.
About Us
We live in a fabulous neighbor filled with children. We feel very blessed with our neighbors and the friendships that have been formed. We love to entertain in our four bedroom house which has a large parcel of land. So most gatherings are held at our house where the children can run around and be kids.
We have a very loving marriage that is filled with laughter, happiness, strength, communication and respect. At times we laugh so hard our bellies hurt. We try to find the humor even during those trying times. A couple of the best qualities we have as a couple is strong communication and the ability to resolve conflict. We cherish the time we have together and look forward to sharing that time with a child. We both know how truly blessed we are to have found each other and don’t ever take that for granted. We now know what it means to have found your soul mate.
We feel that God prepared our hearts for each other. We have a strong faith in God and know how important it is to have him in our lives. We know that through faith we can get through anything and that God has a special plan just for us.
Closing Thoughts
We are not going to pretend to know what you are personally going through. We do know the emotions of love you must have for this precious child because we have the same love. We are solid Christians and we believe that God chooses certain people to do his good works woks. He has chosen you to carry this miracle and has chosen us to love, protect, and to provide a lifetime of stability, care, support, and unconditional love. We have prayed many prayers for our special child and our hearts have been prepared to receive this gift from you. WE hope we have eased your mind and any concerns you may have.
