Chris and Murphy
Dear Birth Mother,
We are Christian (Chris) and Murphy. We knew going into our marriage we wouldn’t be able to have children. We started working on adoption immediately. We’ve been married 5 years this June. We grew up together literally, we were next-door neighbors. After a lifelong friendship, something changed.
Chris’ family owns and runs a local trucking company servicing the oil field. He has been with the company for 19 plus years and is a supervisor, which allows him a great deal of flexibility in his workday. He is looking forward to being a very active father. Murphy is a terminal manager for FedEx Ground and has been with the company 10 years this October. She look’s forward to taking time off with the baby after the birth and would ultimately like to leave work and stay home.

Together we love to travel, enjoy working on the house and yard projects, watching movies, eating pizza, cookies or anything ice cream related! We share a passion for dogs and foster to adopt dogs scheduled for euthanasia for our local Humane Society. We love spending time with our parent’s, our family of dogs and alone time with one another.
Chris is quiet, gentle, polite, caring, thoughtful and selfless with others. He enjoys watching NASCAR. He works on a pit crew for a local race car team and is working on his newest (and continuing) project, The Yellow Jeep. He is restoring it from the ground up. He can fix or build anything. He has started flight lessons, and hopes to get his private pilot’s license in the near future. He is crazy about any and all new technology (I-pod, X-Box…), enjoys watching Entourage DVD’s and going for walks with our furry girls: Zeba, Lucy, Daisy and part-timer (until my niece finds housing), Baby Bailey. In the summer he enjoys going to his Mother’s new lake home. He loves to boat, Jet ski, or any high speed activity! He is a great sport in participating in almost anything...just look at the Halloween photo!

Chris describes Murphy as more creative and outgoing, with a funny sense of humor. She volunteer’s every year for the Dog Jog raising funds for our local Humane Society, has worked with special needs children, and currently volunteers working with the Miss ND Board helping young women to earn scholarships to further their college education. She enjoys biking, jogging, and completed a half marathon, the emphasis being on completed! She loves to bake cookies, eBay, auctions and rummage sales. She decorates inside and out for every holiday and has helped decorate for many other events.
We live in a lovely older home that has recently been restored. Murphy is currently redecorating. Our home is situated in a SAFE, quiet neighborhood where many children run and play. Last summer we built a play house out back that matches our home. We call it “the little house”. Murphy painted and decorated the interior. We hope for a little one to occupy it soon! There is a school, church, grocery store, pool, Dairy Queen, and both grandparents’ homes within walking distance. Our families are excited about welcoming a new child. Our friends are just as supportive.

We are Godparents to 3 children and are active in the lives of our friends and their children. Through our wonderful parents, we have both been blessed with the opportunities of education and have traveled many places in the world. This has made us more open and understanding of life and diversity of others. It is our wish to give a child these same opportunities, so that he or she may become a thoughtful, compassionate and respectful person. We share mutual faith and think it is important a child grow up with a sense of direction and purpose through God.

We understand this will be one of the most difficult decisions you will ever make. We can’t begin to understand what you are experiencing. If you should chose us to parent your child, we want you to feel secure knowing your child will be in a happy, loving, safe and secure home. We would like the chance to know you and your family as well, and are open to the level of contact with which we all feel comfortable. We want a child to know the story of their birth and how they came to be a part of our family.
Thanks for reading about us. We would love to meet you and talk more. If you have any questions about us or would like to speak with us, please contact your adoption advisor at AdoptHelp by calling 1-800-637-7999, toll-free.

Chris and Murphy
