We would like you to know how truly blessed we feel that you are taking time to get to know us. We can’t imagine the emotions that you may be feeling during this time and admire your courage and strength in making this difficult decision. Your decision to choose adoption is the most selfless, courageous and loving decision you could ever make in life. There are so many things in our hearts and minds that we wish to convey to you. Most of all, we want you to know that we will love your child with all of our hearts, and they will know how you entrusted us to raise her/him because you loved them so much.
We are very fortunate to be surrounded with a loving, caring, and supportive family. Our extended family is a huge part of our lives, and they are all eagerly awaiting a new member. We have always been involved with our nieces and nephews and look forward to our family being an important part of our child’s life too. Our families are always up to something fun- vacation, having get-togethers, celebrating birthdays, and playing games. Our child will definitely not miss out on anything!
We met, fell in love and have been inseparable since college. We are a happy, loving couple, hoping to share our hearts and home with a baby. After a few years of marriage, We wanted to start our family. We have spent the last 5 years on the infertility roller coaster, enduring many heartaches and disappointments. We feel we have been blessed in our lives with each other, and adopting a baby would make our lives complete. We have now been married for nine years and look forward to many more.
Let me tell you about my husband Jim. I met Jim when I was a freshman in college and it truly was love at first sight! Jim is the greatest man that I have ever met. He is the kindest, gentlest and most fun loving person that I know. Jim is passionate about life and when you meet him it shows. His favorite pastimes are enjoying the outdoors with our dog Gracie, gardening, cooking, golfing, watching baseball and football, and spending time with our family and friends. Jim has been a chef for over 15 years and is exceptional at it. We have been together for seventeen years, and I can honestly say that our love has grown stronger than I could have ever thought possible.
Let me tell you about my wife Cheryl. Cheryl is the most genuine, kind and loving person that I have ever met. She is always thinking of others and treats every person with dignity and respect. Cheryl is the love of my life and my best friend. I cannot express to you the happiness that she brings me! She is an elementary educator, and truly loves her students. Her main goal as a teacher is to help each child feel special and valuable. She loves to spend her free time playing with Gracie, spending time with our family and friends, reading, baking and watching movies. She has the deepest love for children and wants, more than anything, to have the void filled in our lives with the gift of a child. If you could see her with her nieces, nephews and our neighborhood children, you would know how wonderful she will be as a mother.
Our neighborhood is the kind of place where everyone knows each other and people get together for Christmas parties, birthdays and Easter egg hunts. . We have established many close relationships within our community. There are lots of young children, so our child will have plenty of playmates. The area where we live is known for having one of the best school districts. We have a lot of room in our home for expanding our family, and one of the rooms has already been designated the nursery! We share our home with our wonderful dog, Gracie. She is very affectionate and loving to everyone. We have a great backyard where we envision our child playing with friends, building sand-castles in a huge sand box and running through the sprinklers!
