We can only imagine how much courage and strength you have, and we admire and respect you for choosing to offer the gift of life for your child and for adoptive parents. We give our heartfelt thanks for considering us as parents for your child, and feel you will be blessed in whatever choice you make.
About Us
We are David and Christina. We have been happily married for eighteen years and have known each other for over twenty years. We have a joyful, fulfilling life together in sunny southern California. Our biggest hope is to add to our little family and to love and nurture a child to a healthy, happy adulthood.
We met working on a movie, and our life feels like a lucky adventure together. We both went to college and work in creative fields. David graduated with honors from an Ivy League university and Chris has a degree from a top women’s college. We always knew we wanted to have children. When David finished graduate school and we were financially secure, we knew we were ready to begin our family. After several years of trying to have a baby, we feel we have been led to adoption for a reason, and are excited about having a child to cherish and nurture. Both of our extended families include adopted children, and we believe adoption is a loving, positive choice for birth mothers, adoptive parents and most importantly, the child.
Our Family
We live in a quiet, sunny neighborhood in southern California, just fifteen minutes from the beach. It is a historic area with many wonderful parks, museums and schools. Our neighborhood is a diverse, vibrant community that includes many families with young children. Our home is bright and cheerful with a big fenced back yard filled with shady trees and a garden — and lots of room to play. We share our home with our amazingly sweet dog Ellie, who we rescued as a puppy. She loves people and especially adores children. Her tail starts wagging whenever she sees a stroller coming down the street!
We like to get up early to have time for coffee and starting our day together before going to work. Chris kisses David and our dog Ellie goodbye before heading off to a position at a leading music industry company, where she enjoys an exciting career and colleagues.
David starts each day writing screenplays from his home office, and in the afternoons he works at a private school that has a warm, student-centered environment and a family-friendly atmosphere. In the evenings, we meet up for dinner at home and share the day’s events.
Weekends are definitely family time. Our favorite thing to do is clip the leash on Ellie and pile in the car to go play tennis, rollerblade, head to the beach or enjoy the many outdoor and creative activities in Southern California. We also garden, spend time with friends and especially enjoy visiting our extended families. We both have relatives a short drive away and we see them often, laughing over favorite memories while we make some new ones. They can’t wait to welcome our adopted child, who will have many young cousins and aunts, uncles and grandparents to help them grow up.
Our life together is filled with fun and excitement. We’re fortunate in our careers and families. Whether we’re hiking canyons in New Mexico, vacationing in Italy, dressed up for a red carpet event, or just watching a football game and making a quick trip to the hardware store, we take delight in each day and savor the moments of laughter and joy. We feel our greatest gift is our love and friendship for each other — we truly enjoy life together and want to share that warmth with a child!

Chris is intelligent, funny, extroverted, vivacious, sensitive and absolutely devoted to the people around her. She is a very giving and supportive partner and cares about my happiness and success as much as her own. I know she’ll be a terrific mom, and she already gets a lot of practice spoiling our adorable dog Ellie!

David is kind, intelligent, strong, and calm and loving. He is family-oriented, hard working and creative. I feel incredibly fortunate to have a true partner in every sense of the word. He also has a fantastic sense of humor, which keeps life grounded. David has so much love to give and I know he will be an excellent dad!
Our Promise
