Adam and Neeta
Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us during your difficult decision making process. We are Adam and Neeta. We have been together for seven years and married for five. We knew right away we were meant to be together and got engaged six months after dating. Sometimes we can’t believe it has been five years as we are constantly laughing and enjoying our life together.
We live a healthy, active, mostly organic lifestyle (still not able to cut out the ice cream – truthfully we don’t know if we will ever get that organic). Our weekends are spent with friends and family, almost all with small children. We have a very close family – all of whom can’t wait to welcome a new member. When we aren’t at home, we are traveling. We are excited to experience new places through young eyes.
We both had different, but equally fun childhoods. Adam grew up on a farm, played football and wrestled in high school, and played a bit of saxaphone. Neeta grew up traveling with her family and had been all over the world by the time she was sixteen. She played tennis and the piano. We both grew up in loving, stable homes (both of our parents are still happily married) and will provide our children with a great combination of both worlds.
Adam holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, and an MBA in international business. He currently works at a director level position for a semi-conductor company. Neeta holds an undergraduate degree in clinical psychology and Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She works part time as a general dentist in a private practice near their home, and also serves as adjunct faculty at the local dental school. Neeta plans to stay at home with the children until they are old enough to go to school. We highly value education and the rewards it brings. We want to stress that anything is possible with hard work. Adam and Neeta also both speak several languages.
Although we grew up with different backgrounds and different religions, we feel these differences bring us closer. Adam grew up Catholic in a small town outside of Albuquerque where Christmas Mass is still given in Spanish. Neeta’s parents migrated from India in 1974. She was raised Hindu, and grew up with a strong belief in giving back to the community (she volunteers at the homeless shelter). We respect and enjoy each other’s beliefs and ultimately believe in the basic principle to strive to be the best person you can be, and try to leave the world better than you found it.
Adam is an avid adventure racer, and participates in at least one race a year. Last year he biked across the state of Iowa, and this year he ran from Mount Hood to the Coast in Oregon. He can’t wait to start training with a racing stroller. Neeta is never without a book in her hand, and cannot wait to share all of her favorites.
We live in a beautiful two-story home located in gated community of about 40 houses which all form a circle around a park. What is nice about our community is that everyone knows each other, so the kids can safely run around the community and play in the park. There are block parties, picnics, and every holiday is huge with decorations – some of our neighbors even turn their homes into haunted houses for Halloween (one neighbor did an especially great job with a talking pirate – our niece had a blast!). We have a gated pool with a waterfall and water slide in our back yard. There are three parks within half a block of us, the elementary is school is connected to one of those parks, and also has a running trail, basketball and sand volleyball courts, and a baseball diamond.

We can’t wait for evenings spent in the garage trying to make an erupting volcano for science class, of Christmas trees with the ornaments placed four feet high, and of weekends full of soccer games and ballet classes.
