Choose A Family : Parent Profile
Lori and Bob
Dear Birth Mother,
Life sure is filled with unexpected challenges and blessings. Who would have thought that someday we, as a couple, would be online looking to adopt a baby and that you would be online looking for a couple interested in adopting your baby. This is a very emotional decision for everyone involved and we want you to know that we admire your choice to have this baby and that we will love your baby unconditionally through all of life's unexpected challenges and blessings. We are unable to conceive on our own and it seems that God had other plans, for us to become adoptive parents. Your child would be a wonderful blessing to our lives. If you like to get to know us a little better we'd love to hear from you.

About Bob aka “Husband” (written by Lori)
Bob 'aka Husband', is a very compassionate, loving, funny and intelligent man who always puts me and others first. He has excellent morals and is always respectful of others. He will be an excellent father because he is very patient, has a great sense of humor, and kids just love him.
Bob drives an 18 wheeler semi truck and trailer for a living. He takes pride in keeping his big rig shiny and clean and participates in Big Rig Truck Shows where he often wins trophies for his shiny truck. The proceeds from the truck shows go to help children with disabilities which he is very proud of. I believe Bob got the "clean car bug" naturally from his dad who had a passion for keeping his cars clean and participating in car shows. His work schedule varies so that he is able to come home during the week and be home on weekends since he drives in California only. His interests are keeping the Big Rig clean, roller skating, bike riding, keeping the yard looking nice and spending quality time with family and friends.
He grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania where his Uncle Bob taught him to drive a John Deere Tractor. He wasn't afraid of the hard work, helping his uncle making hay or harvesting corn. His Mom and Grandmother did a great job teaching Bob about the bible and faith in God. Bob is older of two children. His sister Amy is married and just had her first baby.
Twenty-one years ago Bob ventured to California with his best friend Harry. They liked it so much they got jobs and stayed here. Bob is an "uncle" to Harry's daughters Krissy and Mady and "God Parent" to my best friend Renee's grandson Isaac.

About Lori aka “Wifey” (written by Bob)
Lori is a California native who grew up in a family with strong values and work ethics. Lori is the youngest of three daughters. One sister lives in Texas and another in California. She has two nephews who live in Texas; one is married and has three adorable children.
Lori works for a large biotech company close to our home and the company has a state of the art on-site childcare center. We have already put our name on the wait list.
At work she truly stands out as a leader as well as a team player. She is the "go-to" girl that everyone seeks out for solutions and for her efforts she has received numerous awards. Lori’s generosity and kindness exude her and many times we have opened our home to family and friends in need as Lori has a wonderful ability to care for others and put their needs above her own.
On the lighter side Wifey enjoys spending time with our kitties Zena, Reo, Deja and Oh-ohs, as well as our friends and their families which many of them have kids. When you're watching Lori with children it doesn't take long to see that her warmth, “fun loving” spirit, kindness and tender heart will make her a wonderful mother. Being a mom will be the ultimate chapter in her life because being a mom is truly the most giving of servers.
Whatever we are doing whether it is recreation, running errands, doing projects at home, we simply enjoy each others company and I believe that comes from being friends before we dated. They say kids "learn what they live" your new born will learn and be loved without limits by us and our family.

How we met
Lori answered my newspaper ad for a roommate in 1995. We hit it off right away. We talked for hours and found out that we both had family born and living in Pennsylvania. We both enjoy roller skating, bike riding, movies, cook outs, etc. We became best friends and a year later something changed as we began to realize that we had strong feelings for one another. One night during dinner we debated if we should remain friends or become a couple. We decided to take a chance on LOVE and six months later, I proposed to Lori and she said YES! The rest is history 11 years later and we're still BEST FRIENDS and glad we took a chance on LOVE!
Family and Friends (California, Texas and Pennsylvania)
Our extended family, friends and even our kitties are very excited about our plans to adopt a baby.
They have been and will continue to be an excellent source for inspiration and support.
We’re waiting for a precious baby to join our life.
