Liz and Bruce

Hi, we are Liz and Bruce. We met and fell in love while sailing on the San Francisco Bay with friends. From the day we met we felt like we had known each other our whole life. A year later we married and have been married 11 years.  We have a solid, loving relationship and a warm and nurturing home. We crack each other up, which is a good thing because we have each other to laugh at our jokes.  We love being outdoors with our animals and family on our ranch. We have a great life together. Friends and family always say to us, “its amazing two people can be so well matched for each other.” And it’s true- we just love being together and just loving life.

Our Home: We live in a beautiful valley surrounded by rolling green hills and natural countryside. Daily we are greeted by our cat Harley, three dogs, three horses (that we ride in the hills behind our house), a goat named Rose, Humble the pot belly pig and six chickens that lay blue and green eggs!  On the weekends we can be found playing soccer, riding horses, swimming, fishing or kayaking in the pond. We love working in the garden, running though the vineyards, playing with friends or heading to the city to see a play or museum. In the summer time all the cousins visit and we really enjoy teaching the cousins how to ride, build swings over the pond, fish, and enjoy spending time in nature with the animals around out ranch.

This is our dream place to live and a magical place for children to play, learn and grow.

About Liz-
Liz is great! Liz is my best friend and the love of my life. She is very warm, loving, nurturing and has a great sense of humor. Liz is athletic, adventurous and grounded. She has introduced me to kayaking, snow skiing, traveling and healthy living. She once did a marathon to raise funding for a children’s cancer organization. I go along mostly because I know she was an excellent nurse and, should I get hurt, can save me! Liz has traveled around the world. Once she even saw a baby delivered in a mud hut in Africa! She was a registered nurse, specializing in Labor and Delivery as well as children’s health and left nursing to care for our family. Liz grew up in Los Angeles with 7 brothers and sisters and has a large extended family.  Liz has a very positive outlook on life and is always supportive and loving.

About Bruce-
Bruce is a warm, wise and very kind person. I love and admire him. He is a great listener and I have never known him to raise his voice.  Despite his success in business he has remained humble and grateful. He puts our relationship and family first above all else and really cherishes the loving relationship we have. He has a very fun sense of humor and we crack up all the time. Bruce loves his horses and can be found weekends riding in the arena or taking me and family for a trail ride into the hills behind our ranch. We also love the water, so we sail or kayak whenever we can. This winter we are going to watch the baby whales spawn off the coast of Mexico. Bruce grew up in Northern California where “grandma” still lives. Bruce has one sister and three nephews. Bruce is loving, patient, kind, and the most considerate man I have ever known.

Our Family-
As parent we are calm and loving. We believe a child’s true potential is realized through love, compassion, support and guidance. We like to do all the corny parent things like, dress up with the kids for Halloween, teach the kids to snow ski, swim, kayak, travel, ride horses, go camping,  fish, dress up as Santa on Christmas, paint, play, visit grandma in the city and see plays and museums, coach soccer teams, go to violin and piano recitals, spend the summer with our family, celebrate birthdays with all their friends, be active at school, help with homework, tickle and pillow fights,etc...

Our little boy and girl are loving siblings and very compassionate, loving children. Younger children are drawn to them and they are patient and kind with babies and younger kids. They love being outdoors and we spend time as a family caring for the animals, riding the ponies, hiking the ranch, or just relaxing under the willow trees to read a favorite book while fishing on the pond. During the summertime the cousins visit and the kids camp in the yard, swim and fish in the pond, ride the horses, play with the animals, build forts and zip lines in the old oak trees, play soccer, jam on the piano, violin, and trumpet, film movies. Last summer we went to Oregon to watch their older cousin as he filmed a movie he wrote and directed. They met actors who they often see in movies. This was very exciting for them as they are country kids at this point in their lives.

The blessing would be ours to welcome your baby into our lives. As parents and as a family we will love, honor and cherish your child. We will raise your child with love and deep respect for you, their birth mother, and for the wonders and gifts life has to offer.
