We understand this is an extremely hard decision for you and admire your courage. Thank you for reading our story. We’re Alison, Tina and Alex from Santa Cruz, CA approximately 60-miles South of San Francisco. Alison and Tina met 13 years ago in Europe, and Alison moved to California in 1996 so we could start our amazing life together.

Alison and I shared eleven wonderful years together before we had Alex, and we continue everyday to thrive as parents, teachers, friends and partners. There is no better person to make a home warm, safe and enjoyable than Alison. Generous, kind, sweet, considerate, and fun. I think that sums it up best. Truly, I can not say enough about what a great Mama and partner Alison is, and how much more she has to give to another little guy or gal should the opportunity arise. Oh yeah, did I mention she is a great cook too?!

Tina emanates warmth, confidence and compassion and her love for our family and friends is inspiring. She takes an active role in her nephews journey to become a biochemist and encourages him to excel in whatever he does. Tina loves to play! Whether it’s train and cars with Alex every morning, or running in the park and down the slide on warm sunny days. Tina is always full of praise and encouragement, making learning new things with her safe and fun. I couldn’t imagine a better person to raise a family with.

Alex was born in May 2007 and is a dream come true! We were teamed with his birthmother through AdoptHelp and were able to start our adventure with him the moment he was born. The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing and we admire Alex’s birthmother beyond words. Alex is a very happy, social little boy who adores playing with cars, trains, fire trucks and planes. He’s learnt to share his toys, and is very content playing on his own when we are at home. He loves us close by, but is already making up his own games, sometimes including our pets. Alex is always ready for a cuddle, and will wake up in the mornings full of kisses. We believe Alex will be a wonderful big brother, and will welcome our new family member with open arms.

We have 5 pets - a dog called Rooney and 4 cats - Simba, Oscar, Max and Braticus. Rooney’s a labradoodle and he joined our family at 8-weeks old in January of this year. He adores everyone he meets and is extremely gentle with Alex. All of our kitties are “love-bugs” and everyone gets on very well. They are predominately indoor cats, but they do like to roam around our back garden on warm sunny days.
our everyday life and family
Alison stays at home with Alex and the pets, while Tina works as a Marketing Executive. At the weekend we spend time together as a family walking, biking, visiting friends, or just playing at home. We play and dance every day! Alex loves to play hide-and-seek and adores rolling around on the floor with Alison and Tina.
Our family is in England, Sacramento, CA and Seattle, WA. Alex has a special bond with his family in England. He has weekly webcam sessions with his Nana, Grandpa and cousin’s, and we visit the family twice a year. Alex’s Grandma is in Sacramento and his big cousin Van goes to College in Santa Cruz. He adores spending time with Van playing cars and riding around on his shoulders.
