Tracy & Will
Dear Birth Mother,
Of course, we must begin this letter by first saying thank you. Thank you for deciding to bring your beautiful baby into this world. Thank you for making the brave decision to create an adoption plan for your child. Thank you for allowing others the opportunity to know, love, and cherish your little one. And thank you for considering us for that role.
There’s so much we want to tell you about ourselves! Our names are Tracy and Will. We have been married for about seven years and have been together for ten. We have been truly blessed in our lives and cannot wait to become parents through the miracle of adoption.

It Was Meant To Be…..
We crossed paths in 1999 on a blind date. We went out to eat and then to the beach. We talked and laughed and we’ve been together ever since.
We married in 2002 in an intimate ceremony and purchased our first home, a small but charming condominium. After a few years, we bought our current home in a comfortable, safe, family neighborhood, planning to start a family.
We have so far been unsuccessful in becoming pregnant. We’ve had every medical test performed and have been assured time and time again that there is no medical reason why not. We believe that at this point in our lives, we are meant to adopt and are committed to giving everything we have, emotionally and otherwise, to our child.

Hi, I’m Will.
I was born in Honolulu. My mother was a beautiful Pacific Islander hula dancer and my Irish father, stationed at Pearl Harbor in the Navy, fell hard and fast. They had three children; I am the middle child, with an older brother and younger sister. When I was 3 years old, my dad moved the family to his hometown of Spencerport, New York, just outside of Rochester. Quite a change! Growing up in upstate New York, though, was great fun for a young boy and I spent the majority of my time outdoors fishing in creeks, playing in the woods and snow, and riding my bike and skateboard with all of the small-town neighborhood kids.
When I was 18, I joined the Marine Corps. This allowed me to travel the world, serve my country in the Gulf War, and make some life-long friends. At the end of the war, I was stationed at Camp Pendleton near San Diego and that is when I fell in love with Southern California. At the age of 24, when the Marines planned to relocate me, I decided to remain in California and begin life as a civilian. I spent several years as a letter carrier for the Postal Service, but knew I was destined for law enforcement. In 2001, I joined the California Highway Patrol, where I currently work as a Motorcycle Officer.

Hi, I’m Tracy.
I’m a California girl, born and raised. I am an only child, born to a Canadian father and a Midwestern Irish mother. My family settled into a close knit neighborhood and I enjoyed being involved with community activities, as well as gymnastics, tennis, and swimming. Dance classes were my favorite and I loved performing in recitals and school programs. I have some great memories of weekends divided between the family’s mountain cabin and ocean boating, and summer vacations filled with family trips.
From an early age, I focused on my education. I worked hard and was able to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration by the age of 20. I quickly went to work in the corporate world and several years later went back to get my Master’s Degree, also in Business. Although successful in my career, I felt the work lacked personal fulfillment and satisfaction. After much soul searching, I went back to school for my teaching credential. For the last six years, I have been an elementary school teacher and I absolutely love the interaction with my students.

About Will by Tracy:
Will is definitely the strong, silent type. His protective nature keeps family and friends content in the knowledge that he will keep them safe. Will is truly the bravest man I’ve ever known. He also has a delightful sense of humor, better for the fact that it’s seemingly effortless and comes from out of nowhere. In addition, he has an amazing artistic talent and creates wonderful drawings and home movies. He’s a very hard worker with incredible determination. He “powers through” just about everything and doesn’t let anything get him down.
He’s such a unique and beautiful man. We are opposites in many ways, but we balance each other out well. I am proud of the man that Will is. It makes me happy to have him as my husband and I’m thankful to be sharing my life with such a wonderful person. I just know Will is going to be an amazing father and cannot wait to see him become the devoted and loving father that I know he will be.
About Tracy by Will:
Tracy is a very caring and thoughtful person. She is quick to help someone in need. Tracy goes out of her way to listen and solve problems anyone may need assistance with. She always remembers friends and family birthdays, and is prompt in always sending out birthday and well-wishing cards to people we haven’t even seen in years. She is very well organized and can take on any burden of tasks, seeing them all to completion. Tracy lights up a room with her infectious smile and laugh. She is very outgoing and is usually the center of attention and fun. Tracy takes care of me when I’m sick, even when my stubbornness declines any sympathy or compassion.
Tracy is my rock that keeps me in check, and she is the reason I am healthy, happy, and the man I am today. I truly could not live without her, and she has made a loving family environment for us everyday. Tracy’s commitment to family, her love for kids and her passion for life will make her an amazing mother.
Our Pets:
Currently, our family consists of two cocker spaniels, Maya and Lola, and a 60+ year old desert tortoise, Sammy, that belonged to Tracy’s mother when she was a child. Both Maya and Lola were adopted from the local shelter and have added enormously to our family. Maya is the best kisser ever and Lola is a wonderful cuddler. They can usually be found right at our heels or in our laps.
Fun Times:
We live about five minutes from the beach and enjoy the lifestyle. Will, going back to his Hawaiian roots, is a devoted surfer and Tracy enjoys sunbathing and cheering him on. Will is quite active and, as in his childhood, spends much of his time outdoors boating, fishing, and golfing when not at the beach. He also regularly participates in triathlons and playing ice hockey in the Police Olympics. Tracy is an avid reader and is usually found with her nose in a book or doing a Sudoku or logic puzzle. We also like to entertain, filling up the house with friends, kids, and dogs for a barbecue, which often results in moving the living room furniture out of the way for a dance party! We enjoy traveling, most often to tropical locations. In recent years, we’ve enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
Family:
Although Will’s parents now live in Florida and we don’t get to see them as much as we would like, we remain close. His sister has four beautiful children who are excited to be cousins! Tracy’s parents purchased a condo less than five minutes away in anticipation of a very hands-on grandparenting role. Grandma already wants to start decorating the nursery and go shopping!
Once again, thank you. While we can’t even begin to imagine what might be going on in your heart and in your mind right now, we truly appreciate your time and consideration as you make this monumental decision. We would be honored to raise your child and give your baby the best and most loving life we possibly can.
Best Wishes,
Will & Tracy
