Thank you for reading our profile and for taking the time to get to know us. We have tremendous respect and admiration for you and hope that by reading our profile and getting to know us a little better, your decision to place your child for adoption may be a little easier.
We met over 5 years ago through a mutual friend and have been together ever since. We are both very down to earth and enjoy the simple things in life. We are both very optimistic and strive to see the best in people and in life’s unpredictable journey. We have a very loving and trusting relationship. We live at the beach in Southern California and enjoy the typical surf and sand lifestyle.
After 3 years of unsuccessful fertility treatments to conceive a baby, we made the decision to adopt. We could not have been happier when in April 2008, we welcomed a baby boy into our family. We were blessed to be present for Logan’s birth and nurture him from day one. We have spent the last few years preparing our homes for children. We have renovated our home at the beach, which also has a guesthouse we reserve for the many visits from our extended family and friends. With surfboards, boogie boards, snorkeling and a ski boat, our 26 nieces and nephews call ours their second home. We also have a home in the Palm Springs desert where we splash around in the pool, hike and bike the many mountain trails, and play golf and tennis. Oh, and sometimes we just relax!
Our desire to adopt another child has only increased each day we spend with Logan. We want to continue to love and nurture a new addition to our family while also providing both with the benefit of having a brother or a sister. We both know the value of family and are now ready to add to our own.
Each day is a new discovery with Logan and one we love to share with family and friends. Whether it’s at the beach or swimming in the pool out in our desert home, Logan can always been found at the center of everyone’s attention.
He is a very loving and sensitive boy who laughs and smiles day and night. He’s developing an independent side as his curiosity grows and his ability to crawl, walk and climb all over the house.
He loves his dogs Alexis and Ruka and often sneaks them food when we’re not looking!
Our desire to adopt another child has only increased each day we spend with Logan. Our days are filled new discoveries, love and happiness. We want to provide this same nurturing atmosphere to another child as well and know that he or she will benefit greatly from having a sibling to grow up and share their life experience.
Jessica by Lisa
Jessica grew up near Philadelphia and is one of eight children. Her parents have been married for over 50 years and her seven siblings have been married anywhere from 1 to 25 years. As her dad likes to say, “We are built for the long run!” She loves being part of a large family and has many fond memories around the dinner table as well as playing and competing with each other in the backyard. Her family continues to grow with baby number 23 recently born to her younger sister. Now her family is eagerly waiting to embrace our new addition in their open arms.Your browser may not support display of this image.
Jessica’s bond with her four sisters remains strong as they plan a “sister’s reunion” each year so they can share stories and create fun new memories. She loves the outdoors, music and art and especially loves to laugh each and every day. The big kid inside her has served her well in her career, one that makes her “favorite aunt” for sure. After receiving her MBA, she pursued a career in marketing with both television and toy companies. Her childhood dream was realized when she joined Disney 5 years ago as an executive with the Toys division.
We now spend many weekends at Disneyland and can’t wait to take our children with us!
Lisa by Jessica
Lisa grew up on a farm in central California with two brothers and lots of animals. She moved to the California coast to attend college and soon after her family followed because of the strong bond they share. Lisa’s parents have been married for over 35 years and recently purchased a vacation home in Idaho where we enjoyed waterskiing in the summer and snow skiing this past winter! During college she caught the entrepreneurial bug and founded her own business. Over the past 23 years, she grew and franchised her business into the largest on the west coast. Last year she made the difficult decision to sell her company so that she could focus on starting a family and be a stay-at-home parent. Lisa is gifted in many ways, but to me it is her incredible heart filled with kindness and boundless love that sets her apart from the rest. She is filled with compassion and empathy and will not think twice to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor in need. Her love of life and energetic spirit is obvious to all who meet her and her natural instincts to care and nurture are evidenced each day as she takes care of our pups, Alexis and Jack, as well as me. We are very fortunate to be financially secure so that Lisa will be able to stay home and raise our children.
Where we live
We have been blessed with a beautiful home less than 3 blocks from the ocean and consider the beach our backyard. We spend a lot of time there reading, making sandcastles with the neighborhood kids and running our pups. We are surrounded by great friends and neighbors that keep our deck lively with BBQ’s. We live in a community with a strong art heritage and we love the many festivals and gallery events throughout the year. We often host “Disney movie night” for our neighbor’s kids and also love to throw our annual 4th of July BBQ and watch the fireworks shoot over the ocean from our deck
