Choose A Family : Parent Profile
Naomi & Will
Dear Birthmother,
Hello and thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We appreciate the importance and difficulty of the choice you are making to find a loving family for your child. It has always been a dream of ours to become parents. We have always had a desire to have, love and raise children. After trying unsuccessfully for 3 years, we are turning to you and adoption, a “fairy god mother” granting us our wish for a family. We are excited and happy and filled with hope.
We feel honored to be considered as a possible match for your child. It is our hope and dream to see us as a family who will fulfill the hopes and dreams you have for your child. We hope that you will find comfort and peace in your heart knowing your child is and will be safe, happy and deeply loved.

We are Naomi and Will and we met 6 years ago in San Diego. We had our first date and have been together ever since. We were married on a beautiful sunny day in April 2009 and each day of our lives is filled with love and laughter. (Will is very funny). We are truly best friends and know and understand each other inside out.
We are truly kids at heart. We love picnics and parks, biking and hikes, cooking and baking (Naomi bakes and Will likes to eat), tennis and golf, the ZOO and Disneyland, we especially love holidays, and spending time with family and friends.
We both share the same ideas of healthy living and taking care of our planet. We recycle, reuse, and try not to use any chemical products in our home. Will grows a summer vegetable garden and we also go to the farmer’s market year-round to get fresh and organic ingredients for our homemade meals. But there must be balance . . . and a Happy Meal from McDonalds is okay from time to time.
Most of our vacations are about family. We visit Will’s family in New England and someday hope to walk the Freedom Trail in Boston telling stories of history to a child. We visit Naomi’s relatives in Hawaii and enjoy relaxing beaches and sunsets. Naomi’s mom lives in Las Vegas, filled with sunny days laying and playing poolside! We also visit Will’s best friend in Colorado and enjoy the snow and mountains. And Naomi’s sister’s family lives in Pennsylvania, which is also close to historic sites and Washington DC. We believe children should cherish family and we will do our best to instill strong family values to a child.

Who We Are Together
As parents, we believe the most important gifts we can give a child are unconditional love, opportunity and a feeling of self worth. In providing this, we believe our children will discover their unique talents and find true happiness in life. We are a nurturing, warm and fun-loving family with core values based on kindness, love of family, respect, tolerance and concern for those in need. We are committed to being the kind of parents that our children hope to be one day, and in doing so our children will grow up feeling self-confident and happy. We believe in the importance of learning about ones own culture and traditions, and we model respect and appreciation for all cultures.
We plan to pass on our family traditions as we have learned them. Like Naomi’s mom’s skills at origami, Will’s dad’s Polish Christmas Supper and Will’s grandmother’s spaghetti and meatballs. We can’t wait to share these traditions as our parents did with us.
Meet Naomi
I was born in Southern California, my mother is Japanese and my father (who passed away 6 years ago), is also Japanese but born in Hawaii. I have one sister who lives in Pennsylvania with her husband Mark and her two children, my nephews Dalton and Blake. I love my job as the marketing and sales manager for the company that produces Hello Kitty and Sanrio products in the United States. I work from home so I will be able to be a stay-at-home working mom. I was lucky to inherit my mom’s artistic and creative side. I love to knit, crochet, bake and cook. I would say baking and cooking are my favorite, I love making Christmas cookies and cupcakes! I leave all the Japanese dishes to my mom.
My mom and dad created a warm and loving home and instilled in me a strong work ethic, honesty, and integrity. They believed so much in us and supported us in becoming the best we could be. We hope that we will be able to offer this kind of home to a child too.
Naomi through Will’s Eyes
Naomi is a wonderfully thoughtful, supportive and talented person. She is my best friend and soul mate. I don’t know where I would be without her in my life. Her smile warms my heart, and her laugh brightens me completely. She has a terrific sense of humor and makes me smile and laugh more and more each day that we are together. We are a perfect compliment to each other, and being married to her has made me a better person. I know she will be the most loving mother a child could have.
Meet Will
I grew up in Connecticut with my three brothers. My parents were very supportive and instilled strong values, tolerance and caring for family and those in need. I have many fond memories of vacations camping in the wilderness or near the beach. Undoubtedly these trips filled my desire to explore and lead to my love of the outdoors, skiing and surfing. We did not have a fancy lifestyle, but there always seemed to be fun, family and activity. With two of my three brothers being 10 and 12 years younger than me I became a very involved and influential big brother to them. I spent time teaching them all kinds of sports and coaching their soccer teams. I developed a sense of responsibility for them that is a huge part of who I am today and will serve me well as a parent. These experiences as a big brother lead me into my career as a teacher helping children learn and grow. I feel privileged to teach children and help instill in them the importance of education. I know I am a role model to my students and was inspired to show this by getting my Masters degree. The importance of family developed in my childhood created the desire to have my own family, which was enhanced when I met Naomi who shares these same values.
Will through Naomi’s Eyes
Will has brought happiness and love into my life. He is the warmest, most loyal and most caring person I have ever known. He is patient and caring to everyone around him. When he teaches, he inspires his students and brings out the best in their abilities. Will makes me laugh everyday with his funny personality and sense of humor. I know any child will be so lucky to be able to call him Dad.
Home Sweet Home
We live in sunny San Diego, California with our dog Ralphie. We have a cute Spanish bungalow in a historic and diverse neighborhood with many wonderful and kind neighbors. Will’s two brothers live just minutes away and we have family Sunday dinners together each week. We all share many special events and holidays as well. Our parents and friends love to come out to visit throughout the year. We both love spending time with our families, and know how important we all are to each other.
We always take advantage of the great year-round weather and all San Diego has to offer. We are close to good schools, parks, dog parks and the library. We can walk to cafes and restaurants in our adorable neighborhood.
We love making our home a warm and comfortable place. Our family often comments how “homey” our house feels. You will often times find us working in the garden or on a house project. We truly love our house and our neighborhood.
It is with great respect that we share with you our lives and dreams in these few pages. We believe that in life some things are meant to be and happen for reasons. Together we are committed to being the best parents to a child that we can be. We hope you can visualize a child in our lives would be loved, nurtured and cherished by us, our families and friends. What ever your choice we hope for your peace and comfort during this time of your life.
