Victoria and Mark
Dear Birth Mother:
You are already more than a birth mother. You are a gift giver who will give us one of the most wonderful gifts we will ever receive. I believe this because I am adopted, and I am eternally grateful to my birth mother for allowing me to be in the family I am in. I have a tremendous amount of gratitude to my birth mother, as your baby will also.
Mark and I are so lucky to have each other. We met in college and have fostered our relationship ever since. We lived on the East Coast for awhile and now live in sunny Southern California. We love the outdoors, great food, good friends, and the culture here. We love getting together with our extended family for birthdays or holidays. We love having some family here and visiting our family or having them travel to visit us. We enjoy biking, running, learning, traveling, books, movies, museums, and outdoor gardens together. We also love hosting dinner with friends or going out to together. Our home is a warm place where friends and family are always welcome to gather.
We are blessed to have two young boys who would love to have a sibling. They both love younger children. They have younger cousins in our area whom they just adore. They also play with younger children in our neighborhood. Andrew wants to have a camp for younger kids in our neighborhood this summer. We love hosting play dates or meeting friends at the park. We eat most dinners together and talk about our day. We are a loving family and we would love to have another child to make our family complete. We want to extend our family to include a girl and give her a wonderful life.
Our family life is rich with our children's activities. They love to play Legos,soccer, basketball, piano, ping pong, and chess. Mark and I both coach soccer teams for our boys. We love traditions in our family. We have game nights, pizza and movie nights, and our boys often have sleepovers together. Most recently our oldest child had a friend sleep over and they camped out in the backyard for his birthday. Every summer we go to a ranch in Colorado that Victoria began going to when she was three years old. In the fall we go camping near the beach north of Santa Barbara.
Mark is a supportive father. He loves playing sports and boy scouts with the kids. He is a thoughtful husband who tries to balance work and family time. I enjoy being with Mark. We go running Friday morning and will often meet for coffee. He is very helpful with household chores and taking the children places. We help ground each other. Every night when I go to bed next to him I am grateful to have such a loving partner.
Victoria is a loving wife and a wonderful mother. She is cheerful and she always has a positive attitude. She loves to cook with the kids and always makes us healthy meals. She likes to garden and does yoga. She has a great sense of humor, like making us green eggs for St. Patrick's Day. I love Victoria and I am so lucky to be married to her.
Thank you for considering us to be the parents of your precious baby. I have always felt that it was the best decision my birth mother could have ever made. Thank you!
