Our History
Our names are Tom and Holly. We met eight years ago in New York City where we both lived at the time. Tom’s friend Dani had the brilliant idea that we should meet but before he could set it up, we found each other on our own. Talk about destiny!
We got engaged on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, where Tom romantically proposed. We were married in New York City surrounded by all of our family and friends from grammar school, high school, college and beyond.
We are so excited to have children! It is our dream to raise a child together and we can’t wait to start our family. After being unable to conceive, we decided that we were going to have a beautiful family anyway and adoption just felt right to us.
About Us
We have been in our strong, loving relationship for 8 years and are both secure in our careers and are in the perfect position to bring a child into our lives.
Tom is a film editor and works on Hollywood movies and TV. Holly works for a major non-profit theatre, fundraising to introduce children to the arts and education. Holly’s job is flexible and will allow her to be a full-time mother
We are financially able to provide a safe, secure home, but more importantly, we have so much love to give to our child. We believe in providing a foundation of unconditional love for our child so he/she can grow up in a warm, nurturing environment. We both can be pretty silly and there will be a lot of fun and playing in our home, but we will be serious in letting our child know that they can be anything they want to be and that they can count on us to love and support them no matter what.

Our Families
We both come from big extended families with a mix of cultures and backgrounds and look forward to sharing it all with our child. Tom is an only child, born in the Midwest and raised in upstate New York. His Mother is from a family of eleven siblings, all born in Viet Nam. His father is American, of English, Irish, German, French-Canadian descent. Growing up Tom was exposed to many cultures, including living with his parents in Africa.
Holly was born and raised in Manhattan, New York City with her sister Karen. Her father’s parents were born in Puerto Rico and her mother’s parents were born in Ireland, so she comes from a long line of islanders.
We both have colorful families with many aunts, uncles, and cousins and lots of culture and love. All of our parents are thrilled to be new grandparents. Holly’s sister Karen and her daughter Bianca live in a big house in New York. There is plenty of extra room for fun visits with Karen, Bianca and Bianca’s four step sisters and brothers, Emily, Stephanie, Mikey, and Nicky, who are all excited to have a new family member to love.
Stuff We Do
We love travel and adventure, especially road trips and national parks. Together we have visited Niagara Falls, Canada, Miami, Hawaii, Death Valley, Yosemite National Park, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, Mexico, Washington DC, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, and more. On our own we have traveled extensively as well. Tom has been to Paris, Spain, The Dominican Republic and Africa. Holly had been to London, Scotland, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Norway, Sweden, Finland, East and West Germany and even the former Czech Republic and former Yugoslavia. We plan to travel more with our child and enjoy the world together.
Holly loves swimming and nature, and Tom loves architecture and history. So we find ways to combine both of our interests and explore, learn, hike and swim together. We also love to go salsa dancing!
We are both involved in the arts and value education. Our child will grow up surrounded by art, science, wonder and beauty. Holly has many creative hobbies. She sings, writes songs, plays guitar and acts. She was in a band and toured the U.S. and Europe in a van! Holly practices yoga. She also does volunteer work with homeless children and the elderly, through which she met her one hundred year old friend Henriette, who will be like a great grandmother.
Tom is passionate about visual art. He loves photography, design and classic cars. Film is one of Tom’s great loves. He is fascinated by old movie theaters, classic & indie films, and beautiful cinematography. But he’s no couch potato! Ever since his days of playing soccer growing up and swimming high school varsity, Tom has always valued a physical routine and works out on a regular basis.
We can’t wait to share our sense of fun, activity, community and creativity with our child!
Our Home
We live in a beautiful sunny apartment in the arty area of Silverlake, in Los Angeles, CA. Our neighborhood is friendly and diverse and our neighbors are nice. We can walk to parks and playdates. We have lots of warm, loving friends in the area and many of them have children now, so our child will have plenty of buddies to play with.
We also share our home with a very sweet cat named Papillon (French for Butterfly). He is a Russian Blue with very soft fur. He loves to be hugged and he always purrs.
Our warm home and community is filled with love and laughter and we cannot wait to bring a child into it.
About Tom (by Holly)
Tom is the kindest man I know. He will be a great father. He is full of love and patience and is a strong brave person. He is so warm and loving with his parents and is trustworthy and reliable with his friends. He is my best friend. Sometimes when Tom wakes up before me he will leave a picture of a cute baby animal on my computer for me to find when I wake up. It always makes me start my day with a smile.

Holly is such a beautiful person inside and out and I know that she will be a great mother. Her dedication to all her nieces and nephews is inspiring to me. I cherish her musical brilliance, her witty sense of humor, fine taste, and gentle kindness. Above all, I admire her honesty and love of life. I couldn’t ask for more.
