Ro and Ajay

Dear Birth Mother:
We want to thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We thank you for having the courage to consider adoption; we really admire your love, bravery and selflessness. We have lots of love to offer- family and the time we spend together means everything to us. Our adopted twin daughters are excited to welcome a new brother or sister to our home. Thank you again for this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you, and please know we wish you only the best in this really difficult time.

About Us
We are a devoted couple who balance each other in all aspects of life. While we have seen ups and downs in our 10 years of marriage we firmly believe that meeting the challenges life gave us has made us stronger each day. We struggled briefly with infertility but quickly chose the path of adoption. All we ever wanted was a family, and we were so blessed to adopt our twins Neela and Meygha from India. We always wanted to have three children and decided that now that the girls are four the time is right time for us to pursue adoption again.

About Ro, by Ajay
Ro was born in the Midwest and loves the town and the community she grew up in. She is a primary care physician in a community hospital here and works part time so she can spend more time with our children. She is very generous in volunteering her services to the uninsured and to local church groups who have missions in underdeveloped countries. Her friends look up on her for support in times of crisis as she is always there to listen. Ro loves to plan family events and vacations and her organizing skills sometimes make me wonder if she really should make a career as a wedding planner! Ro is an energetic, hi energy person that keeps balance in life by running whenever possible and curling up with a good book. Her favorite way to spend time is eating my culinary experiments!

About Ajay, by Ro
Ajay was born in India and migrated to the United States to be with me about eleven years ago. His favorite thing to do is cook and has completely spoiled the girls and me with his freshly made delicacies. He loves to grow his own veggies and seldom finds it easy to relax and do nothing. He works in a bank but longs to be the home dad who is always there for his children. His dogged persistence was a big factor in moving the bureaucracy during Neela and Meygha’s adoption process. He brings to the family a sense of strength and purpose and the motivation to do their best and forget the rest.

Introducing Neela & Meygha
Neela and Meygha are two fun loving, high energy, very chatty little twin sisters. We adopted them from India at the age of 13 months. We have taught them that their birth mother could not take care of them, and we are very grateful for the sacrifice she made for thier future. Their favorite thing in the world is to dress up as princesses and run around in our castle. They attend a Montessori pre-school and love school and their teachers very much. We are fortunate that Ajja and Ammi (Grandpa and Grandma) live nearby and are always there to give them lots of love. They love their puppies Maya and Chayya and enjoy petting our cat Calvin. They are so excited at he thought of a baby brother or sister!

About our family and friends
There is a saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child’, and it could not be truer for our children. We are fortunate to belong to a place where the community is so close knit and a big part of our lives. Neela & Meygha’s grandparents (Ro’s parents) live less than 10 miles away and always provide the much needed support to us. We are big on family vacations which include bringing together Ro’s brother and his wife who live on the West coast and sometimes even Ajay’s family when they travel from India! We have a very close circle of friends with who we share our life events and not only celebrate American holidays like July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas but also Indian festivals like Diwali and Holi to name a few. Community events, festivals, weddings and family gatherings all bring together a sense of belonging to us.

About our Pets
We have two dogs, Maya and Chayya, and a cat, Calvin. All three are rescue pets from the Missouri Humane Society. We really love our animals, and they give us their unconditional love every day. Each one of our pets shares a special bond with our girls and is a big part of our family’s priority. We cater to their favorite things – that includes long walks and swimming outings in local parks and lakes.

Our home
Our home is cozy, inviting and warm perched on top of short hill in a historic neighborhood. We are friends with our neighbors and we hold all kinds of events including summer movie nights, Halloween parades, Easter egg hunts. Right across our street is a co-op farm where like- minded organic gardeners get together to grow and share fresh produce each year. We can walk to parks, ice-cream stores and other fun places and the neighborhood is very safe for children.

Closing
We thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Should you choose us, we promise to open our hearts and our home to your little one, and always to respect you and the sacrifices you made with such love for your child.
