Even though we haven’t met we have thought of you many days and nights and pray that you find peace in your heart and a safe journey. We are Stephanie and Geoff. Words cannot express our emotions as we write to you. We realize this is a very difficult time for you, and thank you for your love, courage, and strength as you make this decision. While this is just a small glimpse of our lives, we hope you can tell that we have a lot of love to give and we will treasure the opportunity to be your child’s adoptive parent.
A BIT ABOUT STEPHANIE & GEOFF
We met 11yrs ago while we both worked in the Entertainment
Industry. Early on we knew we were each others partner. It
just felt right, it was easy, loving, healthy, and fun. We’ve
been committed to one another from day one. We love that
we’ve grown so much together and are still always planning
for our future.
Although we are different, we share many of the same goals,
values, adventure, and silliness...which is perfect because we
keep learning from one another. We tend to live to the beat of
our own drums. Late bloomers, kinda backwards to most, but
hey life doesn’t come with a set of instructions, and we think
that’s a good thing. It has given us the opportunity to find
out who we really are, what we want to do with our lives, and
what kind of people we want to be.
In our spare time we enjoy traveling most. We try to take 2 small trips and 1 big trip every year. Steph is very “crafty”, where she sews, glues, and strings together just about anything you can image. Geoff is a bit of a “geek” and enjoys movies, video games, and all things electronic. We both also love music and seeing live music performed. We are both honest, hardworking, dedicated, loving and free spirited. We’ve been fortunate enough to go to school, earn our degrees, and build our home, and now we feel fortunate to get the opportunity to start our own family.
ABOUT STEPHANIE FROM GEOFF
The best way to explain to someone the
kind of person Steph is, is by explaining
to them how she lives her life. When I met
Steph she was a receptionist at my job,
working to put herself through nursing
school. Upon graduating, she immediately
took a position as an ICU nurse at a public
hospital, where she works predominately
with addicts, alcoholics, and the homeless.
When we decided to get a dog, naturally
the only option was to adopt from a shelter.
Not only is Steph a nurse at the hospital,
but also a preceptor, teaching new nurses
(and sometimes doctors!), as they do their
clinicals. Steph loves to no limit, gives
herself without asking for anything in
return, and helps others without conditions.
This is why I love her and know she will be
the most amazing mother.
ABOUT GEOFF FROM STEPHANIE
Geoff is my best friend and I love him with
all my heart. He’s been my rock and biggest
supporter. I have nothing but respect for
this man. I see on a daily basis the sacrifices
he makes for his family and friends, and he
never expects anything in return. He always
makes sure we have everything we need.
What I love the most though is his honesty,
humbleness, and nonjudgmental devotion to
family and friends. He’s extremely hard-
working, dedicated, and super nerdy smart
(in a very cool way of course ) He
encourages me to be who I am and allows
me to spread my wings. He’s a big kid, but
takes care of his responsibilities. Geoff is
going to be an amazing father just like he is
a husband, friend, son, and brother. I look
forward to what our future holds and feel
very lucky that I found my Geoffrey.
OUR MAGGIE
We rescued Maggie 3yrs ago from a shelter, and to say the
least, she has changed our lives. We love her!!! She’s spoiled.
Our family and friends say they wish they had Maggies life
We enjoy taking her for long walks around our neighborhood.
The dog beach is her favorite, which we frequent a lot. She
also loves parks, car rides. and hiking trips in the mountains.
OUR HOME
We live in Southern CA. Our home was built in 1910 and will
be celebrating 100yrs this year. It’s a little house with lots
of charm and character. We have a cozy backyard with a
huge oak tree that we envision with a swing. There’s lots of
greenery, and we both enjoy yard work, gardening, and
take pride in our home. Sundays are our favorite. Breakfast
outside, music playing in the background, the squirrels,
blue jays, and parrots flying and jumping around, and
of course Maggie trying to catch all of them.
OUR FAMILY
We are both so blessed to come from two
amazing homes. Our parents, grandparents,
siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins all play
an active role in our lives. We are close to
our families and really enjoy spending time
with one another. Our families are fun, loud,
silly, and full of energy.
We both love to coordinate functions for
the family. BBQs, vacations, holidays...
any celebration. Steph loves dreaming up
different themes, while Geoff loves to cook
and entertain everyone!
We are lucky to have a lot of family that
lives close to us, but we are also lucky
because we have family all over (Colorado,
Arizona, Wyoming, Oklahoma, New York),
that we get to travel and see. We can’t wait into introduce our new
little addition to the rest of the family!
