Thank you so much for reading our profile and for getting to know us a little bit more. We know that right now we are just another couple but as you get to know more about us, you will see that we could be great parents.

We have always wanted to share our love with a child and we are thrilled to be building our family through adoption. We are honored that you might consider us to raise your child. We invite you to get to know us more and to see what great parents we could be!

About Yadi (by Greg)
I never would have imagined that the teacher who walked into my classroom to observe my teaching in 2002 would soon after become my love, my partner, my wife. It took a little while to get to know her, but once the wheels were in motion, there was no stopping the inevitable — I had found the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. The more time we spent together, the more deeply I fell in love and the more certain I was that she was the one.

In Yadi, I found the person who complements me, the woman I can share good times and bad times with — the person I will spend the rest of my life with.

Yadi lights up any room she walks into. She brings an infectious smile, a fun attitude and quickly engages everyone around her in conversation. She is funny yet very focused and knowledgeable. Yadi is also one of the smartest people I know yet she is able to find humor in herself and the world around her. Whether it’s an auditorium full of teachers, a classroom full of students, a family united around the table, or me, Yadi is a kind ear who will listen and be a source of advice.

Yadi is focused yet flexible. Whatever she sets her mind to will get done in no time. She is constantly organizing and planning things at work and home, as well as our appointments, chores, and next vacations. Yadi can make anything work out — she always finds the positive angle.

Seeing Yadi with children will bring a smile to your face. The love, guidance and patience she shares are unequaled. Children naturally gravitate toward her because she has a unique gift for being able to captivate their attention. She can walk into a room of students and immediately they are engaged.

I have seen her with children, both as a teacher and outside of school. As a teacher, she is respected for treating children as individuals, holding high expectations, and always having a caring attitude. Her students adore her and colleagues look up to her as a model of a great teacher. Outside of the classroom, Yadi has the same ability to captivate children. Whether it be our godchild, a niece or nephew, or any child she comes into contact with, there is an instant connection between Yadi and the child.

With Yadi I found the perfect counterpart. There is no one who could ever take her place. Our love for one another will only grow stronger and deeper as our family grows.

About Greg (by Yadi)
One day in 2002, I walked into Greg’s classroom. At first he was just another one of the teachers I was going to work with but then I saw how he interacted with his students and I couldn’t help but be captivated. Greg was a wonderful teacher who motivated, challenged, supported and loved his students. His classroom was always bright, cheerful, welcoming and full of learning. I could see the students, parents and staff loved and admired Greg.

After working with him for a year, I realized that I wanted to know him more on a personal level. Greg and I began dating in 2003. After our first date, I realized that Greg was the man for me. When I looked into his eyes, I could see a lifetime of happiness. I knew that he would be a great husband and an amazing father. Greg and I were married in 2004. We just knew that we were always meant to be together.

There are so many reasons why I love Greg. He is a caring and loving man with his family, friends, students, coworkers, and of course, with me. He makes sure that I always feel loved. He kisses and hugs me every morning and every afternoon when I come home from work and before we go to sleep. He is thoughtful and brings me flowers “just because.” He takes care of me when I’m sick, rubs my back and feet when I’m tired, and makes me delicious red velvet cake. Greg is also very funny — he makes me laugh all the time. I love his jokes and funny faces. I also love seeing his playful side with our goddaughter as they play chase or kick around a ball. It’s also great to see him dancing, tickling or playing fetch with our dog, Panda.

Greg is my other half and I know that our love will grow more and more as we build our family.

Meet our families!
Yadi’s family
My family is such an important of my life. Even though my parents, two brothers, and my niece and nephews live in Central California, we are always calling each other. We love seeing each other and spending time together. My parents are so excited to become grandparents and are looking forward to visiting their grandchild often. My parents will be in town when the baby arrives and plan on staying awhile to help out.

I am also very fortunate to have an aunt and two cousins nearby. In my heart, they are like another mother and two sisters. We spend a lot of time sitting around talking, going to restaurants and hanging out or watching movies. My aunt and cousins can’t wait until the baby comes home. Neither can my mother — she has already started shopping for nursery furniture!

Greg’s family
All of my family lives nearby in the Los Angeles area — and they are a lot of fun! What used to be a small family of my two sisters and brother, has grown quite a bit over the years. Now there are nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, in addition to all the families that have joined ours through marriages.
The best way to describe us is we’re just a normal, loving, and supportive family. We are always getting together for holidays, a birthday, special events, or just because. Everyone is anxiously awaiting our addition to the family. Plans are already in the works for the welcome home party, babysitting and helping to decorate the nursery.

Meet our friends!
Our friends make our lives so much brighter. Family goes beyond those who share a blood tie with us. Family includes those people with whom we share our joys, laughs and lives.

These important people are our friends and we are blessed to have so many. We have friends from our childhood, from work and some we’ve met in our city. Our friends are amazing, loving and supportive. We love spending time with them and their children, inviting them over for dinner, playing in the park and traveling together. We can’t wait until they are all aunts and uncles to our new baby!

Our jobs
We are both teachers and care deeply about our students (our kids)!
Yadi works with parents, teachers and principals at various elementary schools and Greg teaches fourth grade this year. There is nothing like seeing the excitement in children’s eyes when they learn something new, when they experiment with something or when they read their favorite book. We want our baby to experience all of these things and to grow up with a passion for learning and helping others. We already have so many books and puzzles ready!

One of the great things about us being teachers is the flexible schedule. This means we will be able to spend a lot of time with the baby! We are able to come home early and spend time together and we have many holidays off throughout the year. We also have a long break over the Christmas holidays and the entire summer off.

Panda Bear talks about Yadi & Greg
Woof, woof! My name is Panda Bear and I am a 2 year old Boston Terrier. I love my mommy and daddy and they love me just as much. There could not be better parents on earth.

They came to visit me many times before bringing me home when I was a little 7-week-old puppy. When I got to my new home, I had everything a little puppy would want — lots of toys, a cushy bed, warm blankets, yummy food and, of course, two sets of warm arms to hug me and snuggle into. Since that day, I have been taken care of like a doggy princess. We spend countless hours playing fetch or, my favorite, tug o war. I love it when daddy plays with me and when mommy lets me snuggle up next to her in bed. I find my best spot in the nook near her tummy and fall fast asleep. She says that sometimes I snore really loud.

Mommy and daddy told me that I might get a human little brother or sister. I am very excited; I can’t wait to have a little sister or brother. I know we will have many fun adventures together. I can’t wait to be a big sister!

Things We Enjoy!
We both love traveling, watching movies, listening to music, playing with Panda Bear and hanging out with our family and friends. Some of our favorite trips have been vacations to Paris, Italy, Spain and Mexico.

We can still remember the beautiful buildings, the museums and parks, and of course, the delicious pizza, tapas and enchiladas! We can’t wait to share this beautiful world with our new baby.

We also love traveling in the United States. Some of our vacations have been to Hawaii, the Grand Canyon and San Diego where we visited the San Diego Zoo and the Animal Park. Yadi loved feeding the dolphins and the giraffes, holding the butterflies and petting many different animals.

Some of the best things are right here at home!
There is so much to do in Los Angeles. On a sunny day we can stay home and have a barbeque, or enjoy the garden while playing with Panda. Sometimes we walk to the local coffee shops or visit the zoo. There are also many other attractions in the area like museums, parks and Disneyland. We can’t wait until our baby sees Mickey and Minnie Mouse!
Things that we are looking forward to!

We have such beautiful memories of our childhood and we enjoyed so many things growing up. We look forward to building many memories with our child: enjoying the city together, playing in the park, visiting Disneyland and seeing all the animals at the zoo. We will spend time with friends and family enjoying barbeques, celebrating birthdays and playing with cousins and Panda.

We will celebrate many holidays. Egg hunts during Easter, trick-or-treating during Halloween and decorating the Christmas tree. We also look forward to traveling together and showing our baby the beauty of the world: the beautiful oceans of Hawaii, the rides at Walt Disney World and the snow in the mountains of Switzerland.

We will share our appreciation for art and culture and for developing respect for oneself and for all people.
