Thank you for this courageous choice. We have such respect for you and considering us to receive this amazing gift of life. We honestly believe that only a mother with true and selfless love in her heart would consider an adoption plan for her child and it is very important for you to know how much we truly appreciate your decision.
Your strength and courage will allow us the chance to experience the gift of parenthood together and we admire your bravery. It is our hope that in learning a little about us, you are able to get a feel for the people we are.
We are eager and excited to become parents through the miracle of adoption and we thank you for the chance to share our story with you.
Our Story
We are Terri & Hans - We have been together for 10 years, married five of those years. Our long distance relationship presented us with a challenge and opportunity to become best friends, soulmates, and a couple that can share everything with each other. The love we share is unconditional, passionate and everlasting.
Our wedding was small and personal with close family and friends. Our special day was held on the bay at a local marina. Hans and I take pleasure in spending time near the water and wanted to include the miraculous sea into our Wedding Day. A spectacular sunset with my sons by our side was the beginning of our new life together.
About Terri
Terri grew up in the Northwest. Her family was close and they spent a lot time with their grandparents and all their aunts, uncles and cousins growing up. She remembers birthdays, holidays and many occasions spent making memories together.
Terri remembers the ‚Äúgood old days‚Äù in the back yard playing hide and seek, tag, red rover, basketball, baseball and numerous other games. She recalls the days of exploring, using one’s imagination and having good old fashion fun.
Terri has three sons, two sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, a nephew and parents all living in Washington. She is warm, caring, creative, hardworking and very passionate about many things. I was taught determination, responsibility and hard work molds you for your future but that fun is very important as well.
I adore babies and can not wait to share that joy with Hans. I enjoy cooking/baking, doing crafts, crocheting, flower gardens, the beach, like sports and very passionate about travel also. We love to laugh and tease each other in the most endearing ways as I love to see Hans smile.
I am an Accounting Clerk II at a local municipality and have worked in local government for many years.
About Hans
Hans grew up on his historical family farm in Sweden. This farm has been in his family for over 200 years. Hans came from a close family that also welcomed two uncles into their home.
His mother was a saint, raising and caring for 6 boys/men. Hans father was a very hard worker and devoted family man. Home cooked Scandinavian meals, relaxing fun Swedish summers and wonderful times around the dinner table with many hours of sharing stories and daily happenings over the years.
Hans loves music, playing and watching soccer, hockey, other outdoor activities, the sea and is a passionate traveler. He is a Mr. Fix-It and possesses many talents in a wide range of categories. Hans is a patient, caring and compassionate man that would do anything for anyone. Hans also enjoys restoring classic cars, reading and we both have a very special place in our hearts for our two dogs.
Hans has 2 brothers, nieces and a nephews and more extended family in Sweden. Hans works as an industrial electrician at a local company.
Our goal is to provide a combined culture for our adoptive child, as Hans Scandinavian heritage is very important to both of us. We feel it would provide our child with advantages of a combined multi-culture and language opportunity. We love the arts-theater, plays, concerts and any new experiences. We feel it’s so important to live life to the fullest and share these experiences with your child. Family togetherness is a necessity. Education is valuable and also a priority. We will encourage higher educational goals and support whatever our child is passionate about always.
Home is Where the Heart Is
We live on 5 acres in the beautiful northwest, not far from the Canadian border. Our home is very serene with a small creek, many trees with lots of places to play and explore. We have chickens, a cat (Ellie) and 2-dogs (Leo and Ginger), who are best doggie friends. We recently adopted Luna (the cutest cuddly kitten) into our home. We obtained Ginger when she was 6-weeks old, she follows Leo everywhere and he is an awesome dog and always so good to her. They are all good with people and kids. Both Ellie and Leo were adopted from the Humane Society and have turned out to be the most wonderful pets, we do not know what we would do without them.
Although, we like spending a lot of time at home, traveling and exploring new places is definitely high on our priority list. Between the two of us, we have visited France, Spain, England, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Canada, Mexico and numerous states in the USA.
Terri has three sons, the oldest lives in California, next is in college and the youngest just graduated high school and is off to college in the fall. He lives half-time between his father and our home. They all have great personalities, unique talents and enjoy sports (especially snowboarding and golf), music, computer technology, family and friends, etc.
Our family has had a positive experience with adoption and has always been welcomed with openness and love. We plan to parent with encouragement, positive reinforcement, and loving guidance. Most importantly, we can promise that we will love our child unconditionally and will be delighted daily in the miracle you have given our family by placing your child with us for adoption.
