John and Barb
Dear Birth Mother, We are John and Barb.
Our hearts go out to you for this courageous step you are taking. This has to be the most difficult decision you have ever had to make in your life.
We hope that as you take a look at our lives, you will see that we can give a TON of love, joy and happiness to a child. We both are looking forward to the next “chapter” in our lives to be blessed as parents of a beautiful child. This would be the greatest gift of all.
In 1983 we were introduced to each other through mutual friends. We became great friends and that later developed into a wonderful relationship. July 29, 1994 we were married. We would like to introduce to you the story of our lives together.
Together
We have a strong happy marriage and are committed to each other and the life we have built together. We are so ready to welcome a child into our lives.
“John is a very soft hearted, understanding and patient person. He is hard-working, loving, trusting, honest, gentle and kind. A true forever friend.” - Barb
“Barb is caring and generous, with a tender heart. She’s a great listener with sound advice. She’s also super creative and very inventive.” - John
Heart and Home
Our home is on one acre of land with a “park like” backyard setting.
We’ve got lots of room to have alarge play structure, kick the ball
around and have a lot of fun!
We enjoy spending time outside, working on our yard and having family & friends over for cookouts.
We live in Michigan where we enjoy all 4 seasons: winter, spring, summer and fall. We are looking forward to sharing with a child the fun exciting life we have built together...things like jumping in huge piles of leaves that we rake up in the fall, building the biggest snowman ever in the winter, swimming, boating and fishing in the summer, and always a couple of fun Florida trips every year!

Our Home
- Our lower level living area with lots of room to run and play!
- Our spacious family room, perfect to spend time with kids.
- Our cozy kitchen where we love to cook.
Our community has the top rated schools in the state. We have lots of great parks for nature walks, creeks and rivers for fishing, and we are only 5 miles from one of the best Great Lakes in the state! Our community schools, libraries and churches offer a large variety of activities for children such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Dance, Ballet, Gymnastics, Hockey, Baseball, Softball, Soccer and summer educational programs, just to name a few!

Vacations
Fun Trips and Vacations
Vacations are very important to us. It gives us the chance to relax,
reconnect and make great memories together.
- We love to head Up North in Michigan to places like Port Huron. Here’s John near the scenic lighthouse there.
- Barb just has to get in her beach time, walking along the shore at Pictured Rocks ini the Upper Peninsula, MI., soaking in the lake air.
- We’re Red Wing fans, so a trip to Toronto, Canada to see the Hockey Hall of Fame was great fun!
- Marco Island Florida It’s a lot of fun to rent a pontoon boat and go searching for dolphins. Look, we spotted one!
- At least twice a year, we enjoy going to our family home in Marco Island, Florida.
- This is the view from the balcony of our home in Florida.
- We look forward to sharing our favorite places with our child, then finding and exploring new spots together, as a family.

In memory of Jake
This is our “Jake”. He was with us from 1995 til 2008.
He gave tremendous happiness to both of us. He was a huge part of
our lives for 13 years. We love and miss Jake very much.
Rainbow Bridge Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special Friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together…
Here we are with Jake when he was just a puppy. We gave him a great life, trained him well, took him lots of places and had many adventures together. We are nurturing souls with a lot of love to give.
We love animals, so if our child wants a hamster, kitten or puppy, we are totally fine with that and would welcome the chance to teach them the responsibility of caring for a pet.

We love Holidays

- Here’s Sadie and Casey…Christmas is even more special with kids!

Friends
Friends to count on
Lauren and Tyler call us Auntie Barb and Uncle John. We love spending time with them and are their named guardians, just in case.
Here we are with our closest friends; John & Rose, John, Barb, Cheryl & Ray, Lauren and Tyler.
We hope you have enjoyed learning about and seeing our lives together as husband and wife. The most IMPORTANT part of our lives which is missing is a child.
We have tried really hard for several years to have a family, however we have not been successful. We hope you can see that we are eager and excited to become parents. Our immediate family members are looking forward to becoming grandparents, aunts and uncles.
We want you to know that the upbringing of a child with us would include instilling a child our love, God’s love, a good Christian faith, trust, honesty, right from wrong, getting an excellent education, giving a child a wonderful home life, a great family and teaching them how to lead a fun, successful, safe and healthy lifestyle.
