: Single Parent Adoption: You’re Not Alone
Since its inception, AdoptHelp has been a place where birth mothers and prospective adoptive parent(s) are given freedom to make private and personal arrangements for the care of their children. Indeed, AdoptHelp is a place where each client is welcome to pursue adoption irrespective of whether they are single or in a relationship.
In our experience, most of the birth mothers we work with are very open to exploring all family types in selecting the parent or parents with whom they wish to place their child for adoption. The great news about single parent adoption is how commonplace it has become. Indeed, we estimate that approximately 25 percent of all adoptions are by single parents. Even more encouraging is that we find that single parent adoption is chosen by birth mothers irrespective of whether it is a single mother or a single father seeking to adopt.
Learn How to Adopt a Child
Those who wish to adopt can do so through a number of different approaches. Our program specializes in domestic infant adoption, which takes place when a birth mother voluntarily places her baby for adoption at birth with adoptive parent(s) she selects. In most domestic infant adoption cases, the adoptive parent(s) are in the labor and delivery room and take the baby home from the hospital.
As you plan how to adopt a child, please know that we are here to answer any of your questions. We have found that many myths and misconceptions exist about single parent adoption and other forms of adoptions, so we encourage you to explore all of your choices. We are available 24/7 to discuss your options and answer your questions.
Your Domestic Infant Adoption
Our goal is to make domestic infant adoption as smooth and individualized as possible. This is accomplished through proper and thorough screening of birth parents and adoptive parents, coupled with the attention of our proactive and passionate staff. Whether you are a birth parent considering placing your child for adoption with wonderful parents whom you select, or you are a prospective adoptive parent who wants to provide a child with a loving and wonderful home, we are here for you.
Your adoption plan is personal, and we understand that each client has different hopes, concerns and preferences. We work with you to walk you through how to adopt a child and create a personalized adoption plan that is right for you.
At AdoptHelp, we believe in an organic match, which means that birth mothers not only voluntarily come to adoption, but also personally choose the adoptive family for their child based on their own criteria and personal selection. Because the family selection is 100 percent the birth mother’s choice, and matching with a birth mother is 100 percent an adoptive parent’s choice, everyone in the adoption triad (birth parents, adoptive parents, and the children) have a wonderful adoption story to look back on and share. We believe that this approach also greatly increases domestic infant adoption success rates.
Given that our program is based upon an organic match, we strive to be able to present a wide array of families from diverse backgrounds so that our birth mothers have a true and meaningful choice of families. To this end, AdoptHelp is one united program embracing, traditional couple adoption, single parent adoption for both men and women, adoption by gays and lesbians and by families of every race, religion and creed.
We have had the pleasure of seeing adoption take many forms and have witnessed first hand that each type and style of adoption is as special as the other. From fully closed adoption to fully open adoption, from single parent adoption by a man who always wanted to be a father, to a married couple with four children wanting to adopt another, we are so happy to be a part of so many different people from different backgrounds coming together to ensure a magical childhood for a child.
We encourage anyone who is considering placing their baby for adoption or considering adopting a child to begin to think about what is important to you and then to reach out to us so that we can create an adoption plan based upon your wishes.
If you are expecting a baby and are considering adoption, you can get all the help you need here at AdoptHelp. In most states, we are able to provide financial assistance with:
