We are Jamie and Enrique from Los Angeles, California. We are so excited for the opportunity to grow our family. We value your choice for choosing adoption. Our hearts are overflowing with love to give to your child and growing our family would be a dream come true. We look forward to connecting with you and hearing your story. More than anything, we want you to know that your child will grow up in a nurturing, loving, and safe home. They will be loved unconditionally knowing that you wanted the best for them.

We are adopting to grow our family; it’s a dream we have had since our wedding day. After a few failed attempts at the fertility clinic, we knew adoption would make it possible for us to expand our family. Adoption has always been a calling we have had in our hearts. We have watched our friends and family’s children grow and it gave us a deep loving desire to grow our own family. It would be a blessing to have the chance to raise your child in a warm and loving home where they can feel safe and be loved with open hearts.

In 2010, we met at a swing dance class. At the time we were only acquaintances and constantly kept crossing paths for the next 7 years. It wasn’t until 2017, when Jamie asked Enrique to practice swing dancing. He misunderstand and thought she wanted to be his dance partner for dance competitions. We continued practicing after class and ultimately fell in love. We discovered that we had a lot more in common and shared a passion for our faith. Two years later after our first dance practice we got married.

I’m a child at heart and love seeing children experience new things for the first time. It is such a gift seeing their eyes light up when something magical happens. When I’m free, I enjoy writing short stories and am currently working on my first children’s book. I look forward to sharing some of those stories or reading other books as a dad. Currently I work from home as a Fleet Manager for a corporation. It allows me to be accessible in times of need and flexible when necessary. But my true passion is art and hope to one day help your child discover theirs.

Enrique has always been there for me no matter what I’m going through. Once I had injured my wrist and could not use my right hand for several weeks. During that time, he had to help me with several things including cooking, driving me to doctor’s appointments and even doing my hair. Although he is not a fan of salads, he enjoyed learning to make it. When I get a cold, he brings me chicken soup from our favorite deli and makes sure that I’m taken care of. But one of my favorite features about him is his value of family. He prioritizes family and makes time for all our family across the country. Whether it’s flying to Utah for our niece’s 15th birthday or celebrating his grandma’s birthday in Texas. I really love how genuine and sensitive Enrique’s heart is. We also make each other laugh a lot! I look forward to becoming a parent with Enrique because I know he will be an amazing father!

I work as a Registered Dental Assistant in an orthodontic office. I am passionate about my job because I love helping children overcome their anxieties and fear of going to the dentist. In orthodontics, the kids come in about once a month and I enjoy building relationships with them and watching them grow up. My job allows me to have the flexibility to accommodate most family needs. I love spending time with friends and having girl time at bible study. I have a small group of girlfriends that I met at church and they are the best! We have been getting together for years. I also adore animals! I have always had pets such as hamsters, cats, and bunnies.

Jamie always surprises me how selfless she is any time we are out and about, she makes an effort to help others. What I adore about Jamie is how often she puts others first before her needs. She will even go on Disneyland rides with me even if some of the rides scare her. When we are enjoying my favorite pizza, she’ll always save the last slice for me. Jamie has a big heart to help others. It’s something I always admire. She goes out of her way to help even if it’s an inconvenience. Jamie is my best friend and partner in life.

I look forward to raising a child with Jamie. She has so much love and enjoys being with children. When we see our nieces, Jamie loves playing games with them and listens to their stories from school. Jamie loves watching Disney movies with them. She is very sincere with spending time with them and they can see how appreciative she is to hear their stories.

We live in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. We live in a gated community that has several playgrounds and a pool. Our 4 bedroom home is located in a quiet neighborhood filled with friendly neighbors. We live 20 minutes away from the beach and Universal Studios Hollywood, and an hour away from Disneyland. There is a park 10 minutes away from us that we enjoy visiting especially during the summer. They hold live performances and fireworks during the 4th of July, which we picture taking our child to see. We love walking around the park and feeding the squirrels. The community we live in is mostly families with young children. We often hear them playing outside and riding their bikes. We love our home, we imagine our future child playing in the backyard and learning to ride a bike. We enjoy having Jamie’s family over who are only 5 minutes away from us. There are several nearby stores including a few grocery stores, restaurants and a book store that we often visit. We enjoy going to the nearby dog park where there are hiking trails that we go visit on the weekends.

Enrique comes from a large family. He grew up in Texas and Utah; his immediate family mainly lives in Utah. We fly to Utah as much possible. Enrique makes sure we never forget any of his niece’s birthdays. Even though his family is out of state, he reaches out to them often, never missing special occasions. We love to go to Utah during the holidays especially for Christmas. Enrique’s family does a potluck style family feast with a wide range of foods from Mexican dishes to traditional Christmas foods. While in Utah, we go snow sledding with the nieces, stay up playing board games and munching on our favorite snacks with them.

Most of Jamie’s family lives locally in Los Angeles which is where she grew up. Jamie is an only child but her closest experience to having siblings is her two older cousins, Ian and Evan. Her cousin Ian who lives nearby has two boys, Max and Charlie. Jamie enjoys having conversations and spending time with them. She loves to support them with their activities, Charlie plays sports and Max is in plays. We recently went to see Max in a Dr. Seuss musical. In times of need, her family is always eager to help. Once Jamie had trouble making candy yams for Friendsgiving. Her aunt, who lives 5 minutes away, had her come over to help her make it. We celebrate most holidays with her family especially Passover which is a family tradition they celebrate each year. For Passover, Jamie loves making her Jello mold recipe that has been passed down for generations.

Family for us is having old traditions and creating new ones with our future child. Our family is a mixture of different backgrounds and generations. We combined theirs to create the perfect balance. But one thing that unites us is our faith which is the foundation of our family. We both grew in different backgrounds and life experiences. We have many traditions that we would love to share with our future child. One tradition is Jamie passing down her baking recipes. Enrique would love to share his passion for running and the arts. In reality, we know that our future child will have their own interests which we will help them purse to their fullest.

The most important thing we would like to do is provide your child a warm loving home, a home where they can come too and feel safe. We will create a safe place where they can express themselves without being judge or shamed. Parenting for us means being their life couch, emotional support, and loving parents. Family for us means love, God’s love.
