Hello! We are Sanchit and Anu from Milpitas, California. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us. We’re honored to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and share the life and love we hope to offer as adoptive parents. We’ve always dreamed of growing our family, and adoption is a path we’re excited and deeply grateful to be on. We believe that families are built through love, connection, and shared purpose—and we’re ready to welcome a child with open hearts, open minds, and a home full of joy and support.

What draws us most to adoption is the deep sense of connection, love, and shared purpose it brings. We believe that family is created through love, commitment, and nurturing—not just biology. We are incredibly excited to welcome your child into our lives with open hearts, and to honor their story and roots with care, compassion, and love.

We hope to raise our child with values that help them grow into a kind, confident, and compassionate person.

We met in the winter of 2012 through mutual friends and began dating in November 2013. From the start, we bonded over our shared love of cooking and hosting dinners for friends. We both enjoy trying new cuisines and traveling to exciting, far-off places. After dating for a couple of years, we told our parents about our relationship. While they were hesitant at first, we worked together to help them understand, and they came around with full support. In November 2017, we were officially engaged in front of our extended family. We often joke that no two people could be more different, but it’s our differences that made us fall in love. We’ve been through many ups and downs and know we’re in it for the long haul. At the heart of our marriage is mutual respect and a deep, shared love for our families.

I grew up in a large family on both my maternal and paternal sides, and I’ve always loved spending time with my extended family. My grandmother is one of my biggest role models, and she helped shape many of the skills and values I carry with me today including cooking. After moving to the United States, I became more independent, and started building a meaningful career. I currently work as a database engineer, a field that challenges me in the best ways and allows me to grow while staying grounded in kindness and empathy. In my free time, I enjoy being around friends, family, and our nieces and nephews. I love checking out new coffee spots and blogging about my favorite eats around the city.

Sanchit is one of the most warm-hearted and thoughtful people I know. Kids are naturally drawn to him, and it’s easy to see why. He’s playful, kind, and fully present in every moment. As the oldest cousin in a large extended family, he has always taken on a big-brother role, especially with the many nieces and nephews who live nearby. He’s passionate about cooking, thanks to his grandmother’s influence, and shares his recipes on Instagram. Sanchit also loves traveling and exploring new restaurants, and you’ll often find him dancing to Bollywood music as part of his workout routine. He’s incredibly social and finds joy in building close relationships with family and friends.

is his sincerity and openness. People feel at ease around him and know they’re cared for. Sanchit is so excited to be a dad. He’s ready to offer unconditional love, steady guidance, and a lifetime of laughter and connection to a child.

I grew up in a close-knit family, surrounded by love from my parents and grandparents. My mom was my best friend, and we shared an incredibly strong bond. I’m also very close to my younger brother, and our connection has only grown stronger over the years. I moved to the United States to pursue my education and build my career. I now work as a Security Engineer, a role that is both challenging and rewarding. Outside of work, I love being creative and trying new hobbies, like sewing, painting, nail art, and anything hands-on. I also enjoy spending time with my mother-in-law, chatting and encouraging her to try new things. Some of my favorite things include going on date nights with Sanchit, discovering new cuisines, and watching movies. I also love being the emcee at baby showers and always have a blast hosting fun games for friends.

Anu is one of the most patient and ambitious people I’ve ever met. She’s creative and brings a unique perspective to everything she does. She loves all things DIY, whether that means trying a new recipe, sewing something special, gardening, doing nail art, or surprising me with thoughtful touches like an Advent calendar. Anu naturally wins people over with her empathy and her ability to help others grow. She brings humor and optimism into every space she enters. With our nieces and nephews, she’s always organizing crafts or reading them stories, fully present in each moment. She’s incredibly excited to be a mom. Becoming a parent has always felt like a calling for he, to nurture, guide, and love a child wholeheartedly. The idea of watching a child grow, discover who they are, and supporting them at every turn fills her with deep joy.

We love hosting events, from Christmas and Diwali parties to casual game nights with family and friends. Cooking is a shared passion, and we take turns planning and making meals throughout the week. We also volunteer by preparing meals for a local nonprofit. We’re serious about fitness and work out three times a week. We love traveling, especially to the beach. We make trips to India every couple of years to visit family. We’re excited to raise a child who explores new places, celebrates different cultures, and finds joy in everyday moments.

We live in a cheerful corner home that overlooks a neighborhood park and is just steps away from an elementary school and library. Our community is full of young families, and we often see kids playing outside or celebrating holidays together. Our home has lots of light, flowers around the yard, and a cozy nook perfect for tea and reading. Sanchit’s parents live with us, making our home a warm, multigenerational space filled with laughter, board games, and shared meals. We can’t wait to share this loving environment with our future child.

Our extended family is very close and incredibly supportive of our adoption journey. Sanchit’s brother lives in New Jersey, along with most of his extended family. Anu’s brother and father live in India, and we stay closely connected with them through frequent video calls and annual visits. Our nieces and nephews bring so much joy into our lives and we often babysit, go to the park, or plan dinners together. Everyone is excited to welcome a new child into the family, and we feel incredibly lucky to have such a loving village around us.

We hope to raise a child who is kind, confident, and compassionate. We value honesty, empathy, and respect. We want to lead by example in all of these. We’ve both had close, trusting relationships with our own parents and want to offer the same safe space for curiosity, creativity, and growth. Whether it’s bedtime stories, dance parties in the kitchen, or quiet talks after a tough day, we’ll be there, showing up with love and understanding every step of the way. If we’re lucky enough to grow our family through adoption, we are open to staying connected in whatever way feels right for you, whether that be letters, photos, or a more direct relationship. Our hearts are open.
