Hello! Thank you for taking the time to learn about us! We are Mike and Chris from Los Angeles, California. We are so grateful for the chance to introduce ourselves to you! We are a happily married couple in Southern California who want nothing more than to make sure your child grows up in a loving and safe home where they can feel like anything is possible. Our dream is to expand our family through adoption and that could not be possible without you. We’re thankful for the chance to share who we are and hopeful for the opportunity to be part of your adoption journey.

Chris's two youngest siblings are adopted and he has witnessed close-up how happily adopted children can complete a family. Ever since our early days together, we have known in our hearts that we wanted to grow our family through adoption. This path has always felt natural to us, shaped by personal connections and a deep respect for the love that builds families. Now we’re excited to become fathers together through adoption and raise your child in a positive and nurturing environment.

Our story began back in the summer of 2014 in New York City where we met. From the beginning, we bonded over our similar tastes in movies, music, values and our mutual desire to eventually raise a family. It was wonderful getting to know each other with the backdrop of a place like NYC. The winter of 2019 found us moving in together in Brooklyn, enjoying day-to-day life in the city until our path led us back to the West Coast where we were both raised. Surrounded by our family and friends on a beautiful and bright Spring 2023 day, we married in Los Angeles. Our little family now includes our amazingly sweet dog, Rosé. Through our years together, we have built a solid foundation based on love, trust, respect and lots of laughs. No matter where we are, we always have fun spending time with each other. We can’t wait to share this love with our future child.

Ever since I was young, I wanted to be a father. I am the oldest of four kids raised by my loving, firm and young parents. My brothers, who are twins, are two years younger than me. My mom still likes to tell us how I would play teacher, sitting my brothers down on their little chairs, and teaching them their A-B-C's. Similarly, when my sister arrived a little later, I took a large role in ushering her through childhood. It meant a great deal to me to be a source of support and love for my siblings and more lately, my nephews!

Now I am in a position in my life to provide for my family and turn this dream of fatherhood into a reality. With Chris at my side, I am ready to take on the responsibilities of parenthood and everything that comes with them. I'm so excited to witness their first steps, hear their first words, watch them go to school for the first time. I'm excited to see and help them build successful, happy and fulfilling lives. I know I'm going to be a proud father.

Mike is the smartest, sweetest and most deeply compassionate person I know. Mike is also a responsible and nurturing man who is an amazing son, sibling and uncle. Whether he knows them or not, he treats those around him with respect and understanding. Mike also has a great sense of humor and always makes me laugh. When we are together, I feel like anything is possible. I know Mike is going to be a fantastic father. Mike loves to read and has an impressive library. I can’t wait for him to share all of his knowledge with our future child as well as reading them great bedtime stories.

I was born and raised in Northern California and moved out to New York City for school and to build my career in the fashion industry. My favorite things to do in NYC were to go to fashion shows, spend times with our amazing friends, and explore new restaurants with my now-husband, Mike. Now Mike and I are on the West Coast and loving our lives back in California. We are grateful to be closer to both of our families and be able to spend the holidays with them and never miss a birthday. It's a thrill to be living the life I envisioned for us here in California, and I'm even more happy when I imagine this life as a father. Thoughts of sharing my love of fashion or making messy breakfasts together, or exploring this wonderful, diverse city with our future child are joyous ones. I know that Mike and I, along with the help of loving family members, are going to raise a smart, responsible and curious child that is filled with love and positive energy.

Chris is the best human I know. Chris is a very special person. Wise beyond his years, he is centered, caring and calm. Armed with the biggest smile, he’s also the friendliest, empathetic, and positive person I have ever known. And even bigger than his smile is his joyful laugh. When Chris sets his mind on something, there’s no stopping him and it’s exciting to be around him! For example, during the pandemic, locked up at home, Chris used his time to design and create a fashion collection that he vended online. His talent amazes me and it was so impressive to watch him go from sketching a garment to actually creating it. My family adores him and are as grateful to have him in their lives as I am. I know he will be a wonderful father and I can’t wait to see him in this role.

We’ve built careers we love—ones that give us purpose, flexibility, and the time to be present for the moments that matter most. Chris has been working in the fashion industry for the last 12 years. He has worked with some of the top companies in the business and currently works as a Visual Merchandising Manager overseeing the West Coast. He never feels like he is working because he’s doing what he loves.

For the last ten years, Mike has led a career as a valued Senior Paralegal for a firm based in LA and NY. He has worked on many prominent cases that have provided a bird’s eye view of the workings of the law. We are so fortunate that both our positions allow us the flexibility to work from home up to four days a week. That flexibility will allow us to work but still make the time for an afternoon stroll with our child.

We both have varied interests and hobbies which always makes for fun conversation. Chris has become an expert home baker and cook. He’s always exploring new recipes, and living in a place like Southern California, he can find all sorts of ingredients. Baking with his mother as a child remains one of Chris’s cherished memories and he looks forward to the day where he will do the same with our child! When not baking, Chris plays tennis, exercises, and he continues to design clothes.

In Mike’s spare time, he loves to pick up a good book and read. Reading has been an activity Mike has enjoyed since childhood and that he finds fulfilling. It was in those early years when he also when he picked up his jigsaw puzzles hobby. As a child, Mike bonded with his dad, putting together puzzles and it continues today. He can’t wait to work on puzzles with our child. Mike also has strong interests in traveling, running, and teaching Rosé new tricks!

We live in a leafy, tranquil area of LA in a neighborhood we love! We feel so fortunate to have found such a spacious and bright home only a half-mile away from a number of museums, restaurants and shopping. On weekends, it’s fun to take Rosé for long walks, stopping to pick up a meal to share, or ingredients from a farmers market to make dinner at home. In our cozy living room, we have a big window overlooking the street and can imagine rocking our baby to sleep while we watch our neighbors stroll by. It's wonderful living in a part of the country where we can enjoy the mountains one day and the beach next. We are excited for our child to experience all that Southern California has to offer.

Mike’s Family: Mike is the eldest of 4 siblings, all of whom live within forty minutes of his parents’ house. At least once a month, we all get together at his parents’ place for dinners, movie or game nights or to just hangout. It’s especially fun when Mike’s youngest nephews Matthew and Ethan are on the scene. During get togethers, we start the afternoon in the backyard, playing volleyball or kickball with the boys until we go in to enjoy a delicious meal. After his years on the East Coast, it’s very meaningful for Mike to be so near to his parents, siblings, and nephews.

Chris’ Family: Chris is the third child of six with the youngest two who are adopted! His family lives in Northern California and we go up to visit every several months. Time with Chris’s family is warm, loving, and always filled with positive energy. When we’re together, we enjoy watching movies, making big meals, and sharing the details of our lives. Every Christmas we have our annual gingerbread house contest (one year we’ll win!) The family grew this year with the birth of the family's first grandchild, Enzo, who is already so beloved. It makes us so happy to think of our child playing with his cousin.

It is our desire to love and support our future child unconditionally. We want to provide an environment of respect, communication, open-mindedness and lots of love and affection. We feel it’s important that we provide the kind of guidance and attention to education that our child will need to become the best version of themselves. To make this happen, we feel an open adoption is the best option so that our child will always know where he or she came from and understand the choices that were made were done with his or her best interests at heart. We understand the road won’t always be smooth. There may be road trips to campgrounds at a national park or teenage tantrums that may test us, but we will face the challenges united, and with patience, understanding, and humor.

We promise that your baby will be surrounded with love, comfort and constant support. We are prepared and excited to devote our lives to making a happy home for your child. We would love to get to know you and are both elated and humbled to be considered as you make your adoption plan for your child. All we will ever want is to make your child’s life a happy one.
